I've decided to move on from Enchanted and go with The Princess Diaries -- I've always wanted to read that book anyway!
Does anyone have any recommendations for books related to Aladdin? It and The Incredibles are my favorite disney movies. I could always do something to do with superheroes, but since we just did that last challenged I would like something different.Any help is appreciated.

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly in this task. It has Snow White and the Seven Dwarves in the description. I was going to use the other book for part of Task 15.2 (magical world).

Can I read "Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury (movie by the same name) for this challenge or are only Disney Princesses related books accepted, as most people have went with Snow White, Cinderella, Little Mermaide etc I wasnt quite sure. Cheers

There's a cute book called If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's My Prince? by Melissa Kantor, that would work for Cinderella.I'm planning to read Beauty Sleep... I LOVE Sleeping Beauty! (Or possibly, I think Prince Phillip is a stud. One of the two, for sure...)
Does "related to" include word matches between book title and movie if contents of book and movie are not related?For Fantasia, would Fantasia of the Unconscious by D.H. Lawrence work?
My other option is two short audio books (5 hrs total) about music used in the movie:
An Introduction to Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring"
An Introduction to Beethoven's "Pastoral Symphony"

I just read a YA adult book for the fall challenge that was a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It was Beastly by Alex Finn. It tells the story from the beast's perspective and was pretty cute!

Cynthia, to clarify, the book we choose has to relate to our chosen film, not be simply a retelling of the story?

Any suggestions, guys?"You could pick what your favorite section of the film is and read something based on that - for example my favorite section was always The Pastoral Symphony with the cenataurs and ancient Greece so I could - if I were doing this film - read something about Greek Gods/Greece.
I was wondering if that would work. Thanks Cynthia. I will do that, I do have a favorite section, it is the nutcracker, particularly the part where the muxhrooms are dancing. So I was thinking of reading The Documents in the Case by Dorothy L. Sayers, which is a mystery about a mushroom expert that gets killed eating the wrong kind of mushroom. would that work?
