2739654 I think they're ok. Just ok. I've read them all and I like them, but I don't luurve them - if you know what I mean. I like the concept and idea behind the stories and the author's unique take on vampires, but not enough to think they are the absolute best in teen vampire romances books available nowadays.

2878675 Possible Spoiler for those who haven't read the fourth book.

I just read all four books and they are good. I can't wait for the next one. I really liked the last one, but I did find there was a lot of junk I was kinda skimming through. I kinda felt some sympathy for Mimi in book 3 at some parts but I hate her. She is self centered and wants everything her way. She showed some good qualities, but in the end I think she is only out for her. I found myself going back and forth for a while on feeling sympathetic for her. But in the end I didn't like her so much.

She was anti Jack following his heart and being with Sky and then she was about to leave with Kingsley because she fell in love. So it was suddenly okay to follow your heart. When Kingsley wasn't an option anymore she expected Jack to go through with it. It was kinda all as long as she is happy with what is going on and everyone else should just fall in line. Plus as Oliver proved when you really love someone you want them to be happy more than yourself. I don't really think she loves Jack. She loves the power that comes with their bond and having what others want, but she doesn't love him.

Plus these are people who are suppose to be centuries old and they seem to have some issues with understanding change. I was kinda confused with the end. So if the women back in Ceaser's time were all trying to win Jack over she implied there was a choice. As if he could have chose another then. But the way they talk about it now it is as if they are not allowed a choice. I'm wondering what part that is going to play in the future. Was it not always that way? Well just some of my thoughts.

1488662 I have read the first 3--love the series and I am waiting for the van alen legacy from the library. I actually read Twilight first--that was my first vamp/pnr/uf series EVER--now i think i have like 150 on my read list. Then I read this Blue bloods series and I liked it and the Marked series better than Twilight. I thought Twilight was great when I first read it, but in hind sight and in comparison to all the other books I have read in this genre, Twilight was mediocre at best IMO.

Back to Blue Bloods...

Hate Mimi
Love Jack
Hate, Hate Hate their past relationship/current weirdo incest thing going on...creepy...
Love Schuyler and Oliver.

325271 I've read the first three and enjoyed them while reading them and then they go right out of my head. Not sure why I can't seem to retain plot lines, but I just can't. It makes reading each new release a bit difficult, but I eventually get reminders and get back into the books. It's definitely YA. Not all YA reads like it, but these do. I'll keep reading the series though. By the way, I hate Mimi and Jack needs to get over himself, but I still go back for more.

2675184 I've read the first three books in the series and I really liked them. I think that the third one was my favourite so far, and I have the newest one but I still haven't read it. As for Mimi and Jack? I don't think that I really like Mimi and I'm not to sure what I think of Jack anymore, I'll have to read the next one to findout. Buy ya, if you liked the first one and you like the second one so far then I recommend that you keep reading them, I'm sure you'll continue to like them.

2860315 I am on my second book of Blue Bloods Masquerade (Blue Bloods, #2) by Melissa De La Cruz. Has anyone read these and whats your opinion? Did you like them?? What do you think of Mimi? Jack? Mimi & Jack lol.
