Yes! This has become my favorite show of all time. I absolutely loved the scenes with the teenage girl driving! Every line, every look, absolutely, brilliantly funny.
LOVE this show!!! We laugh thru the whole thing. The ice skating "dance" in this last episode was sweet too i thought..... and I really think that Ed O'Neill has finally overcome the "Al Bundy" character by playing this one.
I agree, Holli. There is a little bit of Al Bundy in the character but the rest is all new for him and I think it is great.
Loved the episode with Elizabeth Banks!! BA-booms :) She cracks me up!
What the hell was Edward Norton thinking?! LOL
Yes, Holli! I was shocked to see him in that role! I'm starting to wonder who else is going to show up each week!
This is one show I will buy on dvd when the seasons are released. I can only imagine what I'm missing the first time around.
Just found this blurb about Ed Norton's appearance on the show....http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/09/09/e...
And am I the only one who thought they were making up a song & band? I had never heard of Spandau Ballet until he started singing then I recognized the song from Sixteen Candles!
Would you believe shortly after writting my last post I plopped down on the couch to watch some tv in the middle of the day (while my son was at grandparents)and found Sixteen Candles playing on a movie channel? AND it was qued up to the scene with the Spandau Ballet song! LOL. My husband came home shortly there after and we both sat there and watch the rest of the movie!
I just watched the movie Mermaids with Cher and Windona Rider a movie with I've what dozens of times and just realize Joe the guy WR's character lusts after is Jake from Sixteen Candles!
LOL, yeah he is :) Michael Schoeffling. He's also in Vision Quest. ANother 80's movie my brother and I watched a thousand times.
Really? Thats the one about a wrestler, right? I don't remember him in that. I meant to look him up on IMDB to see whatever happened to him.
I am looking him up now.....he was also in the 1991 movie Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken which I do remember. He also grew up in South Jersey! That was the last credit listed for him. Here is a 2006 update for him:(2006) He and his family have been living quietly all these years in northeastern Pennsylvania, where the while teen dream operates a successful business building fine hand-crafted furniture.
