2484174 How do you get comfortable before read your books?
Meaning how to you usually read your books, what time, what is your favorite reading place ….etc…

I get a kick outta reading books on my bed either laying on my stomach or on my back with lots of pillows, my coffee or drink nearby….and my fan chilling my room ….and I usually like to read book at night or late evening after taking hot bath …. Even better if it’s raining outside
How about you ?

Nophoto-f-25x33 I read books on my bed too. But then again, I also watch movies, surf the net, and at times study in bed. Now I'm sounding like a lazy bum, lol. But it's the most comfortable place in this small room that the university provides. Mostly I like to read before sleeping. Funny how my eyes could resist sleep when reading a novel but always give in to temptation when reading textbooks.

506469 in bed, with head leaning on the headboard (see my picture). When I was younger I used to read while eating, usually an Asterix or Tintin book.

No particular favourite time for my reading, I read every free time I have but I must read before going to bed at night otherwise I cannot sleep.

1260846 Surprisingly my most effective reading position seems to be sitting down, under plenty of lights, on my office desk.

Shesh! Bust me for such indulgent readings at office hours!

At home I can't get too comfy or I'll just doze off. Koma sampai pagi.

Though I do have a favourite reading spot. It's the couch - provided it's not full of kain baju kering yang tidak berlipat.

1334243 I don't have particular reading times or habits. What I do have is lotsa waiting time - tunggu anak keluar sekolah, keluar tuition, keluar ngaji, habih main bola etc etc etc. Also at traffic lights and masa traffic jam.

I read whilst waiting!

But oh, if the book is particularly susah, then I read at the dining table with my huge Oxford dictionary open and pencil in hand (I 'collect' bombastic words. I underline them and write their definitions at the bottom of the page). Yes, yes, I'm weird like that hahahaha

Dear Deviki

Imagine working mum with three small children. The amount of laundry is unbelievable. Martha Stewart could get a heart attack if she ever get to stuck her head in my home.

1367779 My favourite position would be sitting up in the ratan chair or at the PC table in my SOHO. The natural light is best there. I no longer read in bed as the lighting is not so condusive. Also I'm afraid I'd sooner be dozing off in that position (See Khairul's pic)

When I was working in KL, I would read on the train. These days I would always bring a book in my bag. Depending on opportunities I would also read in the car or while waiting for food to be served in restaurants. That is OK as my hubby would do the same!

380439 When I was young, I was always reading on the floor, stomach down. now, a grown-up lady ( haha), I read with the exact position, posture, just like Khairul. Or whenever I am back home, I read on the sofa with my knees up to my chest to support the book ( bad eyesight).

2449177 Give me a bright light, a chair and a warm cup of white coffee and I'm good to go. Somehow, I always end up reading in the kitchen. Easy access to the microwave, I guess.

1367779 Nurul, I used to see my daughter studying on the carpet stomach down. It is odd for me though but I guess every one finds their own position.
