Thanks for letting me know that, Otis. It will bother me a lot less now that I know there is a real reason for it being that way instead of my not setting something correctly or a bug. It's lovely that the admins are active on the groups here too.
After 24 hours, the posts change from X hours, XX minutes ago to Month day, year time am/pm. I noticed that posts from others in the group saying good morning were really really early, like 4am, and posts saying I'm heading to bed were around dinner time, like 5-6pm. So I posted the time in one of my posts and went back and checked it after a day. It was around 5:45pm and it showed on the timestamp as 2:45pm.
How can you tell? For example, I see your post marked as "1 minute ago" -- does it say something different for you?
Yes, my location (city, state) is correct on my profile, as is my zip code under my account settings. Let me know if you'd like me to set my profile to public for awhile if you need to look it. Thank you for your help.
Well, your profile is private so I can't check, but check that your location with Goodreads is where you really are and not 3 time zones away.
