Sounds wonderful - send out the recipe if you have a chance. Hope you had a good thanksgiving - we, up here in Canada, don't quite get the amount of energy you can put into a holiday only to do it 4 weeks later for Xmas. Xmas exhausts me.

Nophoto-f-25x33 You are all so nice. Whilst I was in my cranberry crisis I was reading A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg who writes the blog called Orangette. Based on your love of cooking you might like this book which is a blend of memoir and her favorite recipes. So, I made her Cranberry Chutney with Crystallied Ginger and Dried Cherries (which has Grand Marnier, Bev! - it's awesome). I'll make it again with Nancy's nuts for Christmas, and it's very much a riff on Harvey, Nancy, Susanna and Bev's comments. Thank you all - I wouldn't have made the recipe if you hadn't all validated her ingredients in advance.

2894225 Then of course there's always Grand Marnier you can throw in instead of the orange juice.

1109068 We usually make a cranberry relish, of cranberry and orange mixed.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Thank you so much, Nancy and Harvey! I'm going to combine both of your recipes and I'll report back after TG!

2878402 Not liking cranberry sauce! Good Lord! I dare say it takes all sorts :))
I must say I like Nancy's idea about nuts... never tried that but I think this Christmas I will try that. My own sauce I used some fresh orange juice, some ginger and at the last moment some brandy. Did not hear any complaints! :)

2131465 Hi Tracy,
I don't cook with recipes always, but try this.

A package of fresh cranberries cooked as directed and then add about 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans. Slice one orange crosswise and then with about 2-3 slices, cut them in wedges and add. Heat and serve.

Nophoto-f-25x33 For Thanksgiving my friend is doing the turkey, stuffing and gravy, my mom is doing the sweet potatoes and green beans, and I'm doing the soup, creamed onions, pumpkin cheesecake, and, oh no, the cranberry sauce (which I don't actually like). Does anyone have a cranberry sauce recipe that is actually good (is that possible?), and that you're willing to share? Thank you (if so), Regards.
