Anyone else reading this series by Lori Handeland? The latest book just came out on November 3rd and I'm wondering if anyone has read it yet. I just finished it and I would like to discuss it with others. I can't believe how the book ended. Grrr.....
I've been dying to read it, but it wasn't at my local Borders, so I'm going to have to go hunt it down, LOL.
Cool....let me know when you're done. I want to know what you think. The ending had me frustrated as hell.
SPOILERS!!!I just finished it! OMG, I could never have predicted that ending when you said it was bad! I didn't know it was that bad! How could she do that? He was so much better than self-righteous, whiny Jimmy, and it was so obvious he had feelings for her. I really hope he's going to come back. It looks that way anyway. Jimmy has feelings for Summer, so... What do you think? They are so dysfunctional, LOL.
*Spoilers*I still can't decide who I want her to end up with. They both run hot and cold when they are around her. Sometimes I want her to be with Jimmy because they loved each other so much and I still think he does despite how he acts. But, then again, I kinda want her to be with Sawyer because he seems so broken except when he is with Liz....though its hard to get past him f*cking her mother. Eek!
And yeah...I really, really hope they find a way to bring Sawyer back. I'm still shocked at how everything went down.
Summer gets on my nerves. I can't stand her. I'm ready for her and Liz to have a major smackdown so Liz can kick her snooty, pretentious ass.
SPOILERS!!!LOL. I know, I'm so read for her to have a showdown with Summer. I really hope he comes back. She can't just leave it like that. They were in love, darnit. He was so cool. *tear* I think if he doesn't come back, I would just stop with the series because her only alternative is Jimmy, and I don't like him. He reminds me of Kiyo from the Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead.
Funny you mention the Dark Swan series. I just literally got done reading the second book. You're right...I liked Kiyo in the beginning but I was put off when he let Eugenie down after everything she went through. I'm really liking her and Dorian. There sexual chemistry is off the charts!
LOL. What are the odds. Two good series. It's fitting.I totally agree. I see so many parallels between Jimmy and Kiyo. Jimmy makes Elizabeth feel ashamed of her nature, just as Kiyo does. Elizabeth has to struggle to be worthy and "good enough" for him. Whenever Elizabeth has to do anything difficult, Jimmy never supports her, but Sawyer does. Same with Eugenie, Kiyo, and Dorian. Sawyer is willing to man up and do the tough stuff that Jimmy isn't, like Dorian. Trust is an issue with Sawyer as it is with Dorian. And Elizabeth does make it seem like the sex is the best with Sawyer, I'm sure you see the parallels there, LOL. ;)
Yeah, I think Sawyer and Dorian were built for sex. At least that's what Liz and Eugenie lead me to think with the way the praise their bodies. ;-)
