unable to check box to add a book to feed unless it's selected in account preferences

Normally, I keep "add a book" off my update feed and have that box unchecked in my account preferences because I add so many to-read books.
I just posted a review (3 times manually checking the add to feed box) and it didn't show up on my feed until I went into my account and changed the "add a book" to go to my update feed.
We used to have the ability to manually change that for each individual book, group message, etc.
Has that option changed or is this a bug/glitch?

I'm having exactly the same problem as you do Lisa. I finally resorted to adjusting my account settings. But I'd prefer that check box to work....Here's another thread on this bug: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/2349...
My work around is that I checked the box in my account preferences, but un-checking it at individual books does seem to work. About to go check out the other thread. Thanks Kasia.
