I was just about to comment when I noticed that the 'bug' is fixed. Woohoo!

Have a few exclusive shelves myself. The same thing was happening if I wanted to add a book to my Books-to-buy shelf: it would automatically pop up on my Read shelf as well, and that was getting irritating. I'm glad it's fixed! Thank you! :D

I've just tested several other books and it's happening on each. It occurs, as Kasia said, on individual book pages. For books that are currently shelved in one of my custom exclusive shelves, just opening the drop-down changes the listed shelves to include "read" as well as my exclusive shelf "paused-reading" (because one radio button must be active, and it's not seeing paused-reading as a radio button).

The first occasion was under Mac OS, I think with Firefox, and currently I'm in Safari under Windows. It's obviously not a huge problem, but it is consistent.

It's happening to me*, sometimes.

It happens only in one place** (shelf chooser on individual book page) and only for the books that I have previously shelved (if I'm adding a new one it's all fine).

Say Harry Potter Book 1. If I want to change my exclusive shelves from under "my review" section under that HP book, it's going to act out. There the radio buttons show up only next to currently-reading, to-read, and read. The rest of the exclusive shelves is left with check boxes.

Others have reported similar issues, but I haven't been able to reproduce them. I took a look at your account and all your exclusive shelves seem to be working, and the shelf chooser displayed them correctly. Is this problem still happening? If so, is it happening on a specific page and not other pages, and if so can you provide the URL of that page?

I have two custom exclusive shelves in addition to the three default: "paused-reading" and "reference". I stopped reading a book and wanted to move it from currently-reading to paused-reading. When I opened the "edit shelves" drop-down, I saw radio buttons next to the three defaults, but checkboxes next to the other two. I checked "paused-reading" nonetheless.

When I navigate away from the book page and return, the book shows up, correctly, as only paused-reading. If I open up the drop-down, the read radio-button spontaneously fills and the book shows up as both read and paused-reading until the next time I refresh or navigate away and return.
