I am like number 5 at the library so I am still waiting for my copy. I will probably get around to it in the middle of the month.
I'm about half way through the book so far. I'm surprised how much I like it! I'm utterly captivated by the characters!
I read the first half last night. I am a bit troubled by the pacing, a bit slow now. I am not sure I buy Katsa's dialogue from a teenage girl. I was drawn to Po and like the description of this romance much better than anything Meyers has written. Insteresting concept of being "Graced"- very original. I can't wait to see what she does with it.
I read this book earlier in the year, but I loved it. It sends a great message to young girls/women and I thought it was beautifully done. One of my favorite books actually.
I read this book earlier in the year and I loved it. I thought it was very original, it was executed beautifully and I was engaged the whole way through. I could picture the characters and it wasn't completely predictable. It's definitely one of my favorites this year.

Leaving bread crumbs down the way, enough for you to expect that things weren't exactly what they seem but not enough to make everything to obvious. My first impression was that as a character Kasta was going to be one of those "I can save myself" kind, which I love!
I picked up the book last night around 7:30 and couldn't stop. I finally put it down to go to bed, but I'm only about 50 pages from the end!Maxi wrote: "My first impression was that as a character Katsa was going to be one of those "I can save myself" kind, which I love!
I love that Katsa can save herself, that she is tough and independent and doesn't intend to change herself for anyone.
I started it last night. I do love the idea of being Graced. It's so original like Mrs. Schoener said and I wonder how Cashore thought up the term.
It would be cool to be graced, but not so cool to be shunned by everyone, espeacially if you were just a great swimmer. What color are Michael Phelps' eyes?
JUST JOINGED THIS GROUP AND I HAD CHECKED OUT THE BOOK LAST WEEK SO I GUESS NOW I WILL START READING IT. I tried to read it the other day but I was soo tired couldnt keep my eyes open.
I'm nearly finished and I really appreciate how well the author developed the "world" of the book. The writing is quite excellent.I am actually listening to the audiobook version and the readers are excellent; it is done as a full cast production.
Two week drama vacation, Angie? Two weeks of plays or high drama or both?
I just finished this book and *loved* the concept of Graces.
Did anyone watch the book trailer? http://www.houghtonmifflinbooks.com/hmhb...What do you think of book trailers? Anyone go out and watch them on the internet like people do movie trailers?
