1895069 I'm writing a short story/novella based during a train journey from New York to Maine but I need advice on the route, places, duration, etc. Any help would be great!

1895069 No,unfortunately not, I live in the UK. I've gotten into the main plot of the piece but need details on setting to add more depth.
Have you taken anything sim.?

1348693 here's a link to a major NE train service provider called Amtrak.

there are lots of stations as you can see. I have taken local trains for shorter trips but nothing as long as this. In terms of scenery you should be able to get some overhead shots from Google maps once you know what area you want to see.

1348693 I write fantasy, although my last manuscript was more in the way of futuristic paranormal romance than a straight fantasy.
