On paperbackswap.com, you need credits to get books (1 credit=1 book). You can either buy the credits or you can get credits by sending books to other people (if you list 10 books that you want to get rid of, they give new members two free credits). When you find a book you want, you request it, the sender confirms the request, and then the sender pays for the shipping (which is usually $2-3, media mail). It usually evens out because if someone requests a book you have, you pay for the shipping to that person.
On here, from what I understand, you give your information to the sender, who then charges you for the shipping. I'm a bit wary of giving my credit card number to anyone, though! lol.
Thanks for your input! A few members of my family have done Paperbackswap (on a different website), which is set up differently than the bookswap option on here. I was curious what people think of this opportunity.
