I have been writing. I am so motivated. I am now working on my 50,000 words mean something. I added another 10,000 plus words. I will give you an update to exactly how many. I have really got it in good form, and I ordered some books from the library to read up on being a better writer.
I am so inspired after doing this with you lovely ladies. I don't think I would have made it to 50K without the encouragement from all of you. My husband and sister have been my sounding boards too.
Oh! And dd to that. I will create my createspace to have my own first paperback. If I knew I would've finished it as soon as I could! Darn, now I want November 2010 to come already!
Thanks Brenda! I hope others will check my blog, too.Well, maybe you guys could talk about your TGIO parties with your ML's next year and suggest that maybe you could hold your own TGIO party with the writers nearest your place, too, right?
Next year, I know what to do.
1st, be an adoptee so that I could hav a mentor who would keep me going.
2nd, i'll attend the kick off party that i didn't attend this year because I didn't know about it
3rd make it to word war
4th write a sci-fi novel
5th be active in the threads in my region.
Yes! That's what I'll do! :) I can't wait for next year...
Way to go Brenda!
I'm glad you were able to get to one of the parties Singurl! It's difficult where I live to go to one of the parties - there aren't any groups meeting in my area. The north NJ groups are way too far, the south NJ groups are too far & even though there technically isn't a 'central' NJ, that would be the closest classification for where I live But they meet in north NJ where I lived many years ago! (Why there's even a central NJ classification then I don't know. You're either north of I95 or south of I95, north or south NJ).

I didn't even think about going to a party, but it sounded like fun, and I am glad you had fun. Great blog too!
Just an update. I have been keeping the promise to myself. I have written about 10,000 words of my second 50K.

Tell me what you think. :P
Oh and when you say 135 pages, that doesn't seem as daunting to me for some reason! (Still a bunch of writing!)
Well, hopefully this book will be one that you WILL get paid for!! I am behind you 100% and look forward to reading a sample!

with the font I used it was about 135 pages. not much of a book but a bunch of material to make into one.
I have been bitten by the bug for years! I "wrote" a whole non-fiction book about my experiences as a public education advocate (if only i had gotten paid for it)
Hey Brenda ~ I might be up for another 50,000 .. once I finish my first 50K. :@
However, I think I'll wait until January for the 2nd round. I should finish my first by the 15th, give myself a break for the holidays and a trip scheduled the first week in January, and then start up again when we get back.
I hope that isn't too long in between! I want to stay motivated.
Wow Brenda! You've got the writer's bug!! Can I ask you guys...how many pages does 50,000 words turn out to be? I assume you write in Word and just wondered.

Congratulations to all the NaNo writer's!! That you took the first step to sign up and begin writing is a fantastic accomplishment in itself and you should all be proud!
To the ones who finished....Hats off to you with a sunny smile and a big bow!!

I am! I am trying to write 50 more by January 1st, but I want to edit too, so it might be difficult.
I will keep you all posted.
I am challenging myself and anyone else who wants. 50K more words.I wrote 2, 000 of the 50,000 already.
For another month? :)

Congrats Christy!

Than you Meg!
I did officially make 50,000 words, yay!
Rosemary, be Proud of yourself! 30,000 words is an incredible accomplishment in such a short period of time! Congrats to you!!!
thanks, Rosemary. I am having a lot of fun trying to write something, but who knows. I just wanted to share because I feel like we all talked so much.Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the excerpt, Brenda. It is intriguing!Keep up the good work. I'm leaving my story alone for awhile but know that I will clean it up and make it shiny and readable in the next year. Starting a bud of an idea for the next story, too! Keep up the good writing. I hope to buy your book someday. I mean it. I really do.
Rosemary, I'm actually jealous, because I'd rather have the story finished. Now I've got to keep working on it on my own without this overhead incentive forcing me to workon it nightly. I did tell my boyfriend to nag me about it, though.
Congrats to all who participated! Any words written are better than no words written!

Rosemary, there is no reason you can't keep going, and finishing the story was quite an accomplishment.
Brenda wrote: "Jennifer...awesome. Mine needs another 50K words too, but it feels so good to have completed the first 50."The sad thing about NaNoWriMo is that I didn't finish the 50,000 word goal. I finished at 30,601. The good thing is I finished the story I have wanted to write for two years so I'm happy!
Jennifer...awesome. Mine needs another 50K words too, but it feels so good to have completed the first 50.
I finished! Well, I got to 50,456. My story is not yet completed, but I got the word count. :) Still a few more hours for everyone else!
All of you who have finished the NoNoWriMo, I know how difficult it was for you to do this and am happy for your success!
WAY TO GO WRITING CHICKS!!! I am IMpressed! What a feat!
And I am JEALOUS! I'm not going to finish. I went home for 4 days and just enjoyed the time with my family. However, I have given myself a deadline of December 13th to finish 50,000 words. Won't get the certificate or anything, but at least I'll have the sense of accomplishment .. and hopefully something workable for a novel.
You all ROCK!!

by the time I finish writing this, I bet you'll have reached the 50,000 mark!
This is insane. I keep writing, and I actually feel like I wrote really god stuff.I am at 48,056.
I really could not do this without the encouragement of all of you and my husband who keeps throwing out ideas and I just run with them!

go Brenda go!
somewhere I had 3,000 more words in me. My husband has inspired me in two very critical parts of this story with good information and ideas.45,300. Only 4200 more words to go! This is unbelievable. I really think I am going to make the deadline.
Thanks, Rosemary.
I need to work on mine today, I've been so tired that I haven't had the energy to do it. I will, though. I'd like to get to 43,000 before I go to bed tonight.
