Congrats Christy!

Than you Meg!
I did officially make 50,000 words, yay!
Rosemary, be Proud of yourself! 30,000 words is an incredible accomplishment in such a short period of time! Congrats to you!!!
thanks, Rosemary. I am having a lot of fun trying to write something, but who knows. I just wanted to share because I feel like we all talked so much.Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the excerpt, Brenda. It is intriguing!Keep up the good work. I'm leaving my story alone for awhile but know that I will clean it up and make it shiny and readable in the next year. Starting a bud of an idea for the next story, too! Keep up the good writing. I hope to buy your book someday. I mean it. I really do.
Rosemary, I'm actually jealous, because I'd rather have the story finished. Now I've got to keep working on it on my own without this overhead incentive forcing me to workon it nightly. I did tell my boyfriend to nag me about it, though.
Congrats to all who participated! Any words written are better than no words written!

Rosemary, there is no reason you can't keep going, and finishing the story was quite an accomplishment.
Brenda wrote: "Jennifer...awesome. Mine needs another 50K words too, but it feels so good to have completed the first 50."The sad thing about NaNoWriMo is that I didn't finish the 50,000 word goal. I finished at 30,601. The good thing is I finished the story I have wanted to write for two years so I'm happy!
Jennifer...awesome. Mine needs another 50K words too, but it feels so good to have completed the first 50.
I finished! Well, I got to 50,456. My story is not yet completed, but I got the word count. :) Still a few more hours for everyone else!
All of you who have finished the NoNoWriMo, I know how difficult it was for you to do this and am happy for your success!
WAY TO GO WRITING CHICKS!!! I am IMpressed! What a feat!
And I am JEALOUS! I'm not going to finish. I went home for 4 days and just enjoyed the time with my family. However, I have given myself a deadline of December 13th to finish 50,000 words. Won't get the certificate or anything, but at least I'll have the sense of accomplishment .. and hopefully something workable for a novel.
You all ROCK!!

by the time I finish writing this, I bet you'll have reached the 50,000 mark!
This is insane. I keep writing, and I actually feel like I wrote really god stuff.I am at 48,056.
I really could not do this without the encouragement of all of you and my husband who keeps throwing out ideas and I just run with them!

go Brenda go!
somewhere I had 3,000 more words in me. My husband has inspired me in two very critical parts of this story with good information and ideas.45,300. Only 4200 more words to go! This is unbelievable. I really think I am going to make the deadline.
Thanks, Rosemary.
I need to work on mine today, I've been so tired that I haven't had the energy to do it. I will, though. I'd like to get to 43,000 before I go to bed tonight.

I am still trekking away hoping to meet the deadline.
Just want to say woo hooo to all of you who are knocking out the words this month! I spent the month cutting rather than adding words, but I finished a draft of my new novel (not all in this month, though), and am now waiting for my editor to read. <knees shaking>Looking forward to seeing all this wonderful work finds its way into print!

Rosemary, it will be better for you next year, but it is awesome that you tried.
I hope I make it.

Way to go, Brenda! I'm so happy with your progress. Sad to say, I've had to drop out, my parents need me more than I need to finish NoNoWriMo. Maybe next year will be the winning year for me. Good luck and keep on truckin'
Cindy, I am trying! It's 6:00 am. I wasn't very productive yesterday, but I am the drawing board again.

Thanks Cindy Happy Thanksgiving!

my writing is not a linear story. it is complicated and more episodic than narrative, so it isn't that easy to throw something in there. i can add more to each episode but i need to regroup and re analyze what i am writing. that i have to save for revisions.
BUT, I did manage to crank out 2,220 for a grand total of 34,412!
Christy wrote: "I just hit 40,000. I just had to kill off a very lovely character. I am too sad to write more tonight."How are you doing Christy? only 10 more to go. You can do it!

throw a natural disaster in the mix, that might stir things up a bit and might be good for a few thousand words, too!

I don't know Rosemary. I need time to re-group re-read, and re-write to propel forward. I am kind of treading water at this point. But, I am not giving up yet.
Brenda wrote: "okay you're on! but, I am running out of things to say....lol!"Too many things piling up, I'm afraid I might not make it this year. But we'll see. You over 30,000 people have it in the bag, way to go!
I think it can be done, Brenda, because I'm in the same boat (34,026 as of this morning). We're pretty neck in neck right now. Race ya! ;)
