Who is your favorite Hero?

We all have that hero that we love from this book, or that one. Sometimes it's even a villain. I am partial to Edmond Dantes in Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexander Dumass. I know, more of a classic than a historical romance, but I just love the character. He is fabulous as both hero and villain in the same novel. Who is you favorite?
