1757121 I haven't officially registered yet, but I do plan to use November as a time to focus on "In The Eye of The Storm" and doing a lot less promoting of "In The Eye of the Beholder" and "Les Pensees Dangereuses."

1626362 I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month! This will be my fifth year. I'm excited to begin a new project. Although, I have been scrambling to get my latest manuscript ready to "rest" while I focus on something new.

If you wish to follow my progress, my name on the NanoWriMo site is "Lcubed".

Take care,

2363398 I'm taking part. This is my third year. Jaimey I tried to add you as a buddy but I have forgotten how to do it. Can anyone help me on that? If anyone wants a buddy I'm at http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/216358

message 5: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 Hi, Robert! Just click my link below and click the "add as buddy" link beneath my picture on my NaNo page. :o)

message 6: by Robert (new)

2363398 Thanks Jaimey. I did it.

message 7: by Paul (new)

1853928 I've added you all as buddies - if that's OK with you.

message 9: by Robert (new)

2363398 Thanks Paul. I've added you as my buddy.

message 10: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 It's about time, Paul! Sheesh! Have the tables turned? Am I stalking you now?

message 11: by Gina (new)

1515960 This will be my second year... it was great fun last year. I'm here:

message 12: by Sharon (new)

1757121 After reviewing the rules, I won't be officially participating. I don't have the energy to start something brand-new just for this project. I will, however, be focusing on writing in November with an eye toward completing (or mostly completing) my WIP.

message 13: by Robert (new)

2363398 Gina I got you as a buddy now.

message 14: by Paul (new)

1853928 Me too, Gina.

message 15: by Paul (new)

1853928 Hi Jaimey, yes, it's your turn to stalk for a while.

message 16: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 Stalk, stalk, stalk...The word has lost all meaning.

message 17: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 So how are you all doing with NaNo?

message 18: by Lisa (new)

1626362 I'm a little bit behind in word count but I'm over 7,000 words. Hope to have a banner day tomorrow! But my brain is officially fried for the day, today. How about you?

message 19: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 I'm nearing 13,000 and reveling in the pressure. I'm not sure I'm cranking out anything worth reading but I'm enjoying the ride. :o)

message 20: by Paul (new)

1853928 Only up to 3,500 so far, but I expect to produce a hell of a lot more this weekend. Sad to say, the story hasn't really taken off in my mind yet. I'm sure it will when I manage to spend more than an hour at a time writing it.

message 21: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 Paul wrote: "Sad to say, the story hasn't really taken off in my mind yet."

Oh, I know how that is, Paul. I usually run into that problem in the middle of the story. I expect next week will be slow for me.

Anybody else?

message 22: by Robert (new)

2363398 Y'all just hang in there. One word at a time will soon add up to what you're looking for. I'm sure I'll be slowing down before long.

message 23: by Paul (new)

1853928 Up to 6,738 now - managed 3,200 yesterday. And the story has taken off at last with two of the major characters meeting and the action beginning to kick in.

Thanks for the support and the encouragement though :)

message 24: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 That's great, Paul! You'll surpass me in word count in no time!

message 25: by Paul (new)

1853928 OK, taking a break now. I wrote 4,548 words today, making a total of 11,286.

message 26: by Paul (new)

1853928 A good day! 6,017 words, taking me up to 17,303 so far. Very productive seven hours.

message 27: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 That's great, Paul! You're only 2k behind me now. ;o)

message 28: by Paul (new)

1853928 Well, inspired by that, I've just done another couple of thousand words.

Count for the day now 8,070. Book total 19,356.

Now I'm definitely stopping.

message 29: by Robert (new)

2363398 You two, Paul and Jaimey are burning up the keys. Good for you. Keep it up

message 30: by Paul (new)

1853928 Back to the working week, so unfortunately only did 1,003 words yesterday, for a total of 20,359.

Never mind, let's all keep going!

message 31: by Lisa (new)

1626362 I'm up to 18,076 today. I caught up today! I have the opposite problem to Paul. I have trouble carving out writing time on weekends when the happy chaos of family monopolizes my time.

message 32: by Robert (new)

2363398 Good for you Lisa and Paul. Paul writes extra on weekends and Lisa writes extra during the week. Good plan. Can stay caught up that way.

message 33: by Paul (new)

1853928 2,520 words today, bringing the NaNo total to 25,223 - more than halfway!!

message 34: by Paul (new)

1853928 Just finished a spell on the NaNowrimo novel - 5,049 words in just over 5 hours. Now at 30,272

message 35: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 I wrote over 3,000 words today for a total of 42,130. I'm so pleased. :oD

message 36: by Paul (new)

1853928 OK, I'm on the verge of getting there. Wrote just about 8,000 words today, for a total of 43,820.

Yippee! A few more days should see the official challenge done.

message 37: by Robert (new)

2363398 Jaimey has gone over the top and you are closing in fast Paul. You both are doing great. As of this writing I am at 44,605.

message 38: by Paul (last edited 26 days ago, 07:52AM) (new)

1853928 You too. We'll both be finished in the next 2-3 days.

message 39: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 You're both doing so good, Paul and Robert (or do you prefer Bob?)! You'll both be there in no time. :o)

message 40: by Robert (new)

2363398 Robert is fine. Thank you.

message 41: by Paul (new)

1853928 OK, up to 47,551. A mere 2500 words tomorrow will see the challenge completed, but not the book. That still has a few thousand words to go.

message 42: by Robert (new)

2363398 You'll do great Paul. I finished. I'm taking a few days and them, like you, I will keep working on it. I figure I'm about halfway. Then the hundred or so rewrites. Good Luck

message 43: by Paul (last edited 20 days ago, 06:55AM) (new)

1853928 OK, I'm done. I've won the NaNoWriMo challenge!!

50,271 words. The book has maybe 20,000 more words to wrap it up, but like Robert said, I'm taking a break for the rest of the day. I'll get back to it tomorrow or Tuesday.

message 44: by Jaimey, Co-Moderator (new)

1654851 Way to go, Paul and Robert! :o)

message 45: by Susan (new)

1780832 Awesome job, all you NaNo people!

message 46: by Robert (new)

2363398 Last day of NaNo and you all did a great job. Congratulations.

message 47: by Paul (new)

1853928 Round of applause!

Take a bow, all of us!!

OK. that's enough. Now let's get our asses back into gear and edit, and polish and get the damn things published.

Back to work, grunts. Do you apes wanna live forever?

message 48: by Lisa (new)

1626362 It's official, I'm a five-time NanoWriMo winner! I now have another lump of clay to craft into a novel.
