Is anyone taking part in NaNoWriMo this year? I have decided to give it a go at the urging of some of my goodreads friends.
More info here: http://www.nanowrimo.org
If anyone here is giving it a shot, here's my addy: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/534005
Let's be buddies! :o)
I haven't officially registered yet, but I do plan to use November as a time to focus on "In The Eye of The Storm" and doing a lot less promoting of "In The Eye of the Beholder" and "Les Pensees Dangereuses."
I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month! This will be my fifth year. I'm excited to begin a new project. Although, I have been scrambling to get my latest manuscript ready to "rest" while I focus on something new.
If you wish to follow my progress, my name on the NanoWriMo site is "Lcubed".
Take care,

I'm taking part. This is my third year. Jaimey I tried to add you as a buddy but I have forgotten how to do it. Can anyone help me on that? If anyone wants a buddy I'm at http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/216358
Hi, Robert! Just click my link below and click the "add as buddy" link beneath my picture on my NaNo page. :o)http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/534005
This will be my second year... it was great fun last year. I'm here:http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/429619
After reviewing the rules, I won't be officially participating. I don't have the energy to start something brand-new just for this project. I will, however, be focusing on writing in November with an eye toward completing (or mostly completing) my WIP.
I'm a little bit behind in word count but I'm over 7,000 words. Hope to have a banner day tomorrow! But my brain is officially fried for the day, today. How about you?
I'm nearing 13,000 and reveling in the pressure. I'm not sure I'm cranking out anything worth reading but I'm enjoying the ride. :o)
Only up to 3,500 so far, but I expect to produce a hell of a lot more this weekend. Sad to say, the story hasn't really taken off in my mind yet. I'm sure it will when I manage to spend more than an hour at a time writing it.
Paul wrote: "Sad to say, the story hasn't really taken off in my mind yet."Oh, I know how that is, Paul. I usually run into that problem in the middle of the story. I expect next week will be slow for me.
Anybody else?
Y'all just hang in there. One word at a time will soon add up to what you're looking for. I'm sure I'll be slowing down before long.
Up to 6,738 now - managed 3,200 yesterday. And the story has taken off at last with two of the major characters meeting and the action beginning to kick in.Thanks for the support and the encouragement though :)
Well, inspired by that, I've just done another couple of thousand words.Count for the day now 8,070. Book total 19,356.
Now I'm definitely stopping.
Back to the working week, so unfortunately only did 1,003 words yesterday, for a total of 20,359.Never mind, let's all keep going!
I'm up to 18,076 today. I caught up today! I have the opposite problem to Paul. I have trouble carving out writing time on weekends when the happy chaos of family monopolizes my time.

Good for you Lisa and Paul. Paul writes extra on weekends and Lisa writes extra during the week. Good plan. Can stay caught up that way.
OK, I'm on the verge of getting there. Wrote just about 8,000 words today, for a total of 43,820.Yippee! A few more days should see the official challenge done.
Jaimey has gone over the top and you are closing in fast Paul. You both are doing great. As of this writing I am at 44,605.
You're both doing so good, Paul and Robert (or do you prefer Bob?)! You'll both be there in no time. :o)
OK, up to 47,551. A mere 2500 words tomorrow will see the challenge completed, but not the book. That still has a few thousand words to go.
You'll do great Paul. I finished. I'm taking a few days and them, like you, I will keep working on it. I figure I'm about halfway. Then the hundred or so rewrites. Good Luck
OK, I'm done. I've won the NaNoWriMo challenge!!50,271 words. The book has maybe 20,000 more words to wrap it up, but like Robert said, I'm taking a break for the rest of the day. I'll get back to it tomorrow or Tuesday.
Round of applause!Take a bow, all of us!!
OK. that's enough. Now let's get our asses back into gear and edit, and polish and get the damn things published.
Back to work, grunts. Do you apes wanna live forever?
