2760309 I enjoy my BookSwim account - I use it to get new releases (my library has a multi-week wait list). It works like netflix in the sense that there are no due dates or late fees and delivery costs are free.

Rebecca - do you ever read a book that you didn't want to keep in the end? I find that most James Patterson or Janet Evanovich books are one-time reads for me.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I like to keep my books after I read them, so I buy mine used. I can't imagine renting a book.

894851 I cannot imagine renting books, is there a time limit when they must be returned? If so, what would be the advantage over a public library? I live in a small town with a small library, but they have excellent interlibrary loan systems. I feel like I rent books when I buy them at the used-book store and sell them back when I'm done, but there is no time limit and return is completely optional.

2048308 I work at the library so paying money to get books is heresy, but my friend is looking into this. Does it seem a little pricey? How do you like it?

2760309 I love my library - but I don't get all my books there. I get some from BookSwim (a book rental company). Does anyone else rent books? As well - what are your thoughts on renting?
