All-American Girl (All-American Girl, #1)All-American Girl-Meg Cabot

I really enjoyed this first book in the All-American girl series.
Artsy Samantha Madison is the classic middle child outcast(I so relate). Her older sister being the beauty and younger being the brains, she finds it hard to find her place. Convinced she is in love with her older sisters boyfriend, Jack. She is blind to what is right in front of her. This is a very cute novel about finding who you really are and making statements unafraid of what others think. I really liked it and can't wait to read the next one is the series Ready or Not.

Next?
Meg Cabot-
Teen Idol
The Princess Diaries
Shadowland
When Lightning Strikes

Ella Enchanted-Gail Carson Levine

Doing It
Doing It-Melvin Burgess

An interesting read from a perspective of a girl. This book is about 3 British male high school students and their sex lives and view of it. I listened to this book on audio and it was short and sweet. I really kinda liked it. I probably would've blushed a couple of times if i wasn't listening to it by myself. I was an adventure into the male mind!

Next?
High Fidelity-Nick Hornby
Forever-Judy Blume
Smack-Melvin Burgess

2426596 Shanna, I like that you have your progress organized by genre. It has me thinking about how I'm posting my progress. I read "all over the place" so your technique might make it easier to keep track of what's been read.

1565679 Actually the genre top 10s are in the front of the book. I just thought it would be neat to especially focus on the tops.

1565679 Finally finished going through the whole book. So now I will be all caught up and know what is going on. I really haven't read a lot of the books yet. But I did just start getting into the whole reading thing only a year ago. A few of them I read back in school but don't really remember them at all so i think i want to reread them. But I'll still count them for now anyway.

The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency was on the buy one get one 1/2 price table at B&N this weekend. (I went in to see if I could see the Nook in person and walked out with books - shocking). I refrained because A) I had a STACK of YA in my hands already, and B) if I picked up one book from the table, I'd end up picking up 6 books from the table. However, if you're looking for a bargain, you might be able to get it at your B&N
