speaking of toasters - you can find BSG 'toaster' Toasters - on the internet of course. i don't remember the website, but if you google BSG Toasters, i'm pretty sure you will find the website, and you too can have your very own frakin toaster

i just added the website to my favourites - looks like a wealth of interesting information there.

Toaster, boy did that make me laugh. Frakkin toasters! Skin jobs was another good one. Especially Saul saying Frakkin Skin Jobs, LMAO
They have never explained how language works in BSG, its just maligned so we can understand easily. As with Stargate, all of these people would not speak english. Its a tomayto tomahto scenario, maybe the 13th tribe were called cygons, doesn't really matter in the end, they were still toasters.
Then why are they saying in the Caprica pilot that the character Eric Stoltz plays created the Cylons, he even names them Cylons.
See what I mean?
I know about the 13th tribe and all that, it just doesn't jive with this guy in Caprica 50 years before BSG creating the Cylons.
The Final Five Cylons were made by the 13th Tribe. They then came to the Colonies and found the other Centurions trying to make skinjobs and helped them. So during Caprica they are on their spaceship.
I guess the time differential has to do with This has all happened before and will happen again.
I wish the price on the complete BSG would go down so I could buy it and watch it over.
yeah. you're right. the surest way to doom Caprica is to compare it. let it thrive or perish based on it's own merits.
PS: Caprica does have potential, and there just isn't enough scifi on TV so I'll watch any and all scifi not matter what. I'm going to try and NOT compare it to BSG. Try is the operative word, LOL
That's true too. Though, it was smart and snappy from the beginning.
OK, so you saw the pilot too and obviously the ending of BSG. I'm confused. Caprica is set 50 or so years before BSG, and in Caprica that when the cylons are created, but in BSG, 2000 years previously, the Cylons were already living on that soon to be bombed out world, and the Final Five downloaded into new bodies to continue their work. Am I forgetting something?

I didn't want to trash it, but I wasn't pleased.
Are you going to try out Caprica? I saw the pilot and it's OK at best."
i will give any t.v. sci fi series a try. and a series connected with BSG?? oh yeah. i'll be watching. i too saw the pilot - it has promise. time will tell. i mean BSG didn't start off being, 'OH MY GOD, BSG!!!'
You are SO RIGHT!

it just made me miss BSG. period. The Plan seemed a poor imitation of the real thing. but considering how good BSG was and how much i respected and enjoyed that series, it would be asking a lot to expect subsequent series or movies to be as good. sometimes it is best to just let it go. rest in peace and all that. (think the Matrix. oh why didn't they let it be a stand alone movie?)
