457755 Awesome, Ruth! With regard to your feeling lucky, I quote the Hall of Fame baseball manager Branch Rickey who said "Luck is the residue of design".

This ain't luck, sister! You earned it.

335159 This week I received my contributor’s copies of the Fall 2009 Nimrod, founded in 1956 at The University of Tulsa. Such a long-lived publication is not common among poetry journals. I feel lucky to be included in this one.

This issue includes my poems are Afghanistan and At the Door. Afghanistan was written a few years back, but thanks to USA foreign policy,it's still pertinent. It’s written as a kind of anagram poem. The letters of the last word in each line can be found in the title.

Here’s a link to the Nimrod website: http://www.utulsa.edu/nimrod/ It’s a print journal so you won’t find my poems there, though.
