Julie, I'll consider buying used online if the cost of the book and the shipping is more than a dollar less than new through Amazon with no shipping. I keep a wish list on Amazon, and I've been buying so much non-book stuff through them that I can almost always add in a book or two and skip the shipping. Most recently vitamins, and multiple sheet orders.I do have one used book store that I look at locally, but it isn't the kind of place where you can expect to find something specific. More of a place where you browse.
I was hoping to find it locally to avoid the shipping costs. I might take a loook at bookswap. Thanks.
Remember to always add $4 to an Amazon.com used book for postage. Some of the time it is actually cheaper to buy it new especially as part of a $25 order which means no postage. There are other good online sources for used books as well.
You can go on Amazon.com and buy this book used for $2.76. Also, you might check out a service like bookswap.com. My friend uses that and seems to like it. :)
My library doesn't have this, I was really disappointed. I'm in Montgomery County, Maryland near the Howard County line, and would buy used for say $3 or borrow it if someone is willing to loan it. I'm gentle on books and a non-smoker, I do have a dog - she won't chew it, but she does shed and some people have allergies. Hope this isn't an innapropriate post I'm new to the group.
