I really liked all the Sookie books, though I think DEAD UNTIL DARK was my least favorite. I think when I go back and re-read the series, I won't dislike it as much.
I think when I first read it, Sookie annoyed me, but she has really grown on me.
I also have been enjoying True Blood (finishing watching season 2 at the moment). HOwever, it's kind of weird to see how it differs from the book. I feel like True Blood is really pushing BILL, whereas I think the books really push ERIC. :)

These are really easy and fast reads because they keep up wanting more. I think I stayed up all night finishing the last book...I could not put it down!!

I saw a interview with Charlaine Harris and she said she is going to talk about Bill and Eric families in this book...ought to be really GOOD!!!

I have read all the Rachel Morgan books and, for the life of me, I couldn't tell you why! I didn't really like any of them. The only character I really liked is Jenks, oh, and his family! Finally decided after WHITE WITCH, BLACK CURSE that I'm done! I don't know why I continued to read them. I think it was a habit!

Dead Witch Walking
The Good, the Bad, and the Undead
Every Which Way But Dead
A Fistful of Charms
For a Few Demons More
The Outlaw Demon Wails (just finished)
White Witch, Black Curse (just starting, I know I'll love it already)

Next one is apparently DEAD IN THE FAMILY and due in spring.
I'm the same as Jess, I enjoyed all of them (sookie books) but enjoyed Dead to the World and Dead and Gone the most, i think everyone knows why with Dead to the World and Dead and Gone I enjoyed it because there seemed to be a constant flow of action and mystery. Is there another one coming soon?
Out of the Sookie books my favorites are the same as Shannon. I loved loved loved Dead to the World!! And Dead and Gone was also a great one just because I liked some of the things that happened between some of the characters. (I don't want to say more for those who haven't gotten that far yet, but I'm sure most of you know what I mean lol)I have yet to try her mystery series. Hopefully I'll get around to that soon.
My absolute favorite is
probably followed by
. I have enjoyed all the Sookie books, some more than others, but can honestly say that I can't think of one I didn't like. I've read all the short stories except the one in Must Love Hellhounds. The one in Blood Lite was not that great. I read
and
and thought they were both pretty good. I tried one Aurora Teagarden book and didn't finish it. Also, read the 1st & 3rd Harper Connelly books. Didn't like the first one at all and thought the 3rd was better, but not enough to read anymore of them.
I love all of her material, but I do have my faves!
My absolute favorites have to be:
Club Dead
Living Dead in Dallas
Dead to the World
Definitely Dead
Dead Until Dark
All Together Dead
An Ice Cold Grave
Dead Over Heels
Poppy Done to Death
A Secret Rage
Short stories
"Tacky" in My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding
"Bacon" in Strange Brew
"The Britlingens Go To Hell" in Must Love Hellhounds
These next books I liked, but didn't love:
Dead as a Doornail
From Dead to Worse
Dead and Gone
Grave Sight
Shakespeare's Landlord
Real Murders
A Bone to Pick
Three Bedrooms, One Corpse
The Julius House
Short Stories
"Dancers in the Dark" in Night's Edge
"One Word Answer" in Bite
"Gift Wrap" in Wolfsbane and Mistletoe
"Lucky" in Unusual Suspects Stories of Mystery & Fantasy
"Fairy Dust" in Powers of Detection Stories of Mystery & Fantasy
These were just okay to me:
Grave Surprise
A Fool and His Honey
Last Scene Alive
Sweet and Deadly
Short Stories
"Dracula Night" in Many Bloody Returns
I haven't read:
Shakespeare's Champion
Shakespeare's Christmas
Shakespeare's Trollop
