I was not a huge fan of the book; while I think a lot of kids could identify with the protagonist and his experiences, I guess I just wanted to like everyone in it more. It's definitely got the pathos of that age group.

I've read it a couple of times, and without revealing anything there are several issues in addition to the drugs which some people might construe as "inappropriate" for kids.
