1374822 It said something about Obama signing something that awarded a medal to the women flyers who served in WWII.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Lori - I don't usually hate football, only when it runs so late as to interrupt normal programing. Thankfully, everything was on schedule last night.

Speaking of...did anyone catch the historical blurb at the end of last night's episode? Something about Obama signing something to do with the WASPs in October. They flashed it so fast I wasn't able to catch it.

2361637 Yes i HATE football, baseball, basketball, & all balls attached to men! But there's a site just for things we hate, so i won't go crazy here.

1374822 I wonder how the networks decide which show to preempt. I don't mind so much if they show all the shows but a little late, but I really don't like them to just not show one I was looking forward to. It also plays havoc with recording plans.

Nophoto-f-25x33 So was anyone else hating football last night for running more than an hour over and bumping Cold Case? Maybe CBS needs to not schedule three dramas for Sunday night, since football always seems to run over by 15 minutes or more.

Yes! The music they use is very cool! & really help sets the time period, & even the emotion they're looking for.

1374822 My husband accuses me of watching Cold Case for the music. Gotta admit that they use music as well as, or better than, any other drama show on television. I used to love the use of music in Crossing Jordan, but I think Cold Case does it even better.

Oh yeah, when the camera panned over to her I started to worry. Things will probably get ugly, but I'm looking forward to see how it all plays out.

1530422 I've just recently discovered Cold Case. I started watching because of insomnia for a couple weeks running. It isn't usually the kind of thing I like, cop shows, but I really like it! The stories are interesting and usually moving, which surprised me the most. The flashback aspect is interesting. I like ones that go back a little ways too! & they do a great job at matching actors to play the younger and older selves, I usually find the transformations believable. I was glad to see Jonathon LaPaglia too! I really likes the show 7 days, it went a little astray at the end, but that was a good show too.

2361637 Yeah their different alright. But i bet Tracie kicks ass in both! LOL Love them all.

1374822 I loved Death Proof. That final car chase was undoubtedly the best car chase EVER! Her character in Cold Case is so different from her Death Proof character. Of course, Tarentino and Bruckheimer are totally different, too.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Definitely a good episode, though the ending, with Lily watching the dirtbag who tried to kill her...I just hope she doesn't do anything stupid. Can't believe the judge let him walk!

2361637 Haven't got to look at it yet. ( it's on my DVR )But you make it sound really good so i'm going to watch it today. I just love Kathryn Morris, & the whole cast is great. When Tracie Thomas joined the cast a while back, i didn't think i was going to like her character. But she fit in like a glove. And then i saw her in Death Proof, & she was awsome! :)

124368 Anybody catch the Cold Case premiere last night? I've been really looking forward to it since I can't catch the early morning reruns they play here because I have to get my sleep for work. I don't like it so much when they feature more recent cases (that is, one from only a couple years ago), because of the interesting atmosphere they create when they show the flashbacks. Last night's ep did not disappoint: 1966, engaging storyline and characters, interesting location, unexpected killer. I know I missed a lot of last season, so I was surprised to see Jonathan LaPaglia of Seven Days/The District (which should have its own thread if it doesn't already... and a DVD release)/those two episodes of NCIS fame. I gather he's recurring, so that's fun. Here's to a great new season!
