Hi everyone. I guess I am leading this discussion on The Time Travelers Wife. I am new to this ...so...I have no idea what I am doing. This is going to be very casual as I am not that cerebral. The book is not huge...but it seems that it is a bit distracting because of the way it jumps about. You really need to be paying attention while reading. This is not one of those you can watch TV and read at the same time. That being said...what do you think of 3 weeks (since we had a month for WWE)to read the book. That would be a completion date of April 12th. I will also have additonal threads that will be for discussion if you finish before the April 12th date (as some of us have already started the book). If this is not good, please let me know.

I did read through the comments that were posted during the vote. It seems that there are definite opinions about this book....some have heard good things....some not so good....but remember....anything that makes you think....or feel is a good thing. It means that our brains are working and we are hopefully learning something from our new experience. Just a thought.

And if anyone is truly interested in getting a real feel for this book...go to Amazon and check out the reviews for the book. But don't just read the 4 and 5 star ones...I always read the 1 star reviews, because I feel it gives a much more "real" review of the book.

So is it what you expected? I know when I first started reading the book I was really surprised. The whole time travel thing is presented in such a unique way.

Didn't see this thread until after I got my book...I was completely hooked from the beginning.

I didn't know what to expect I had heard a lot of good things about the book but I didn't go into it with any expectations and I am hooked. I like the characters they are funny and serious and you are never sure what to expect next with the traveling, which isn't confusing to me - I really like the jumping around.

Got mine yesterday in the mail...Will be starting it sometime this week.
