I think Pinestar didn't betray his clan because he had been loyal for 8 lives. That means he died 8 TIMES for his clan.
If you've read Bluestar's Prophecy, Jake is a kittypet who has a fire colored pelt. I think Jake is Firestar's father actually. And he also met Quince and was Scourge's father too.
One thing I forgot to mention in my opening comment. Pinestar could just as easily have left without saying anything to the clan. I thought he showed courage and honesty in announcing to the clan what he was going to do.He a least owed them that much.
why do you think that?
anyway, I agree weedwhisker said. ("what could be more honerable than to die for your clan?") but it was pinestars choice.and he gave 8 lives to his clan already. but he didnt betray his clan ether. pinestar knew that sunstar would make a good leader, and you could tell that he didnt want to leave all his clan. pinestar thoght it was the right choice and I agree with him.
ok, i have a suspiction so i'm just going to list it.
fact 1)Pinestar was originally born a clan cat

fact 3)firestar was born after Pinestar left(Tigerstar was a kit when he left and Firestar is younger)

I think Pinestar mated with Firestars mother so Firestar actually has clan blood
I found myself liking Pinestar. I thought he was a good clan leader. I believe that he became a kittypet in his last life because he was just tired of it all. I know he was considered a traitor to his clan by some of his clan mates yet I can understand why he did it. What are your thoughts about Pinestar?
