880483 We need to keep the announcements thread and comments and questiosn about the book club thread separate. So post questions and such here. However, I do hope we don't get ourselves ina situation where we are discussing the books here before it's actually time for discussion. That happens sometimes, but anyway, here we go.

129343 Hey Mara, we should probably remove the 'Important' flag from the April and June discussions so they can filter back with the other old ones. :)

1983763 I only remember about the group when I get the monthly email; for instance, I just got: "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die is about to read Trainspotting" in my inbox, so I just bought the book.

I checked, and the only other time I've gotten an email like this was in June for Dead Babies, which is the only other book I've read for the group.

Is there someway to ensure that the group sends out an email once a month?

129343 I've been trying to stay up on posting the upcoming reads, but got a little sidetracked this summer with activities, vacations, and all, so I missed posting the feeds for July and August. Very sorry about that! I'll definitely make sure to stay on top of things for the upcoming reads so that they get sent out in the email feeds. :)

One can subscribe to receive an email that will be sent out a specified time before the group read day comes. I received the same email as Will but GR has been having email trouble for the past few months so that's nothing to do with the group alone but GR.

No, just through November. See post #31 here

Mara, perhaps the Introduction threads, where you post the choices for group reads, should be starred so it remains the top thread in this folder.

880483 Just a note about the winter choices. Everything That Rises Must Converge is a set of short stories. If it wins I'm not sure how we'll approach that. We've always done thigns kind of loose though. So I think we will end up just letting people talk abotu whichever story they want to instead of having some schedule for the stories. I think that will be fine. But I wanted to put that out there in case the fact that it isn't a novel bothered anyone. We haven't had to deal with this situation before. As always suggestions are welcome.

1480622 Can someone with a copy of Everything That Rises Must Converge tell me which stories are included in it. I have her complete short stories book and would like to read the one we'll be discussing first.
Thanks
