I saw this on amazon discussion thread and found it amazing and interesting topic on people collecting habits
There were people who would having collected a series would have to go by the whole series again if they changed the cover look so it matched and looked nice
So to give you an idea of what I want to know here are some qu's:-
1) How many book you have
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people
3) Do you keep them/sell them?
4) what leads you to choose books
5) What do other people say about your collecting
6) HArdback/paperback
7) do you catalogue the books
8) How many on your tbr
and or anything else you want to say re collecting of books
Once I start on a writer I try and read all their books and keep the books as aim to have a library but as I live with my parents so have limited space so on occasion will have to get rid of books but do it to the ones grown out of.
I get hardbacks if they are on a discount from their original books and mainly if I really like the writer and do not want to wait for paperback (even if i know won't be able to read soon . It can end up being out in paperback before I read!!
I have about 400 books and 100+ tbr
Don't lend out (only to my sister) as they have come back previously in bad condition or not returned
I try and buy second hand or amazon market place or ebay so I can try and justify the cost
And family think I have way too many books and my room is way too full of stuf!!
Even my 3yr old asked way I have so many and I have too many books!!!.
1) I have 5 Sauder bookcases filled with books (2 filled with Graphic Novels/Collected Works). Your guesstimate as to how many books that is is as good as mine. 2) I do loan them out.
3) I do sell them
4) My mind is a weird place, I can't really answer that...part interest, part complusion, part insanity.
5) I never asked.
6) I have four shelves filled with HC books, so most are paperback
7) I bought a program to catalogue them....haven't done it....yet.
I have 200+ on my TBR list
1) unknown number of physical books. I am shedding all my dtb's, except for tech books, reference books, sentimental books, or signed copies.
2) 3) I have always lent books, even to those who I didn't expect a return from. I think the only thing better than enjoying a good book, is sharing that book so someone else can enjoy it also. As for my current hb\pb collection: I am giving them away, lending them with no return required, have sold some, and will donate the rest. My entire collection now fits on one bookcase and on my slender, gorgeous Kindle.
4) I find books on this forum, on Stop Your'e Killing Me, on the Amazon forum, and based on Amazon searching.
5) Other people have no comment on my Kindle collection, because I don't show it to anyone. My husband wouldn't dare.
7) Keep thinking I'll get around to catalogueing books, but it's not happening
8) I'm a bit reluctant to admit that I have 117 books on my Kindle bookshelf.
I used to have a tbr shelf, and I needed several different books, different genre's and different authors, on the tbr shelf. If I didn't have this, I would become anxious, and go out shopping to fill the void. Sometimes I would end up buying books I didn't ever read.
Now with the Kindle I am overwhelmed with books I really want to read. It is so much easier for me to find things to enjoy than it was shopping in a regular bookstore. The K has completely reinvigorated my reading life...and given me much happiness.
Great thread Afsana, thanks for starting it.
1) How many books do you have? Probably less than 100. I used to keep them all, but it just got to be too many. Now I only keep some for sentimental reasons and some because they were so great. I have 5 shelves now for books. If those shelves get filled, some have to go out -- now. It's the only way to control them!2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people? Yes, I lend them, though it tends to be just my local book club and one or two other friends. I don't lend books that I couldn't stand not to get back.
3) Do you keep them/sell them? Keep a few, and either sell them to Powell's Books or donate them to the Friends of the Library sale.
4) What leads you to choose books? There are all sorts of variables - some are recommended by friends, some I just run across that appeal to me, some through Bookmarks Magazine or Goodreads recommendations/reviews.
5) What do other people say about your collecting? I don't ask for anyone's opinions, and most of my friends are readers anyway.
6) Hardback/paperback - Either is fine, but not Kindle-type nor audio books.
7) Do you catalogue the books? No
8) How many on your TBR? Currently 207, but it goes up and down constantly.
1) Well in truth I've lost count...again. The last time I counted it was somewhere around 212 but I've splurged a lot since then and I know that number doesn't add in the text books, manga/comic books, or parents books. SO...I'll go with unknown2) I used to lend them. The last time I did was last year and the book came back in less then the pristine condition it left in. So I won't anymore
3) I keep all of them...minus some text books.
4) Well an assortment of reasons will lead me. A)It's a series that I've started B)I've heard alot of great things about it C)School D)Rare random impulses
5) I've been declared an addict by my parents, boyfriend and majority of friends. Boyfriend loves it for some reason but hates the fact that one day he'll have to help me move them.
6) Either as fine, as long as it's actually book form. I like hardback but they are so darn expensive
7) Yes...well I did I've fallen behind alot lately
8) HA! My tbr on this site is puny compared to the one I keep in my head...which is never ending.

Hi
i find those who don't return or return it in terrible cndition are those who don't really read them , they think they will try but end up leaving it around
me as a book lover will borrow abook but will return it in the condition it has been given and will return because I lovmy books and want to keep them and assume all book lovers feel that way
1)Once upon a time and more space, I had up to 3,000 books. Coming from France, I had to give some away... and then once here, with children invading space for their toys, etc, I have had to physically separate fom more books and now I have 1,000 left. I looked up Kindle, so I could many give away more books, but unfortunately Kindle has only about 10 percent of the books I own, notwithstanding Kindle does not do books in foreign languages, so I would have to buy the European version of Kindle as well.
2)I do not like lending my books, because too many times I never see them again. I still do so though, because I hate being a mean selfish person by not lending books, and of course, some I see again and some I never see again. Even when you lend to friends, friends forget you've lent them books...
3)I refuse to sell books. I have visited many countries where some parts of the population have NO access to books ( too expensive, prohibited, you name it) so I always give away books, either through recycle.org or the local shelter for women and children, or the World Bank program, or the LIbrary of Congress program. I tend to keep most of them, though. When I give them away, it's because I have been offered a book I already have, or there are mass market paperbacks I bought for a trip.
4) The author, if I like him/her, I'll buy all their books. The title, if intriguing: then I read the back and if it is still intriguing, I'll buy it. New York TImes Review also. Then subjectcs I am interested in are good starting points to incite me to buy a book.
5)My husband keeps saying that if I buy one more book, he will divorce me! Others are rather taken aback because there are books in multiple languages and about multiple subjects, so they probably do not know what to make of me.
6) Very good question! Where I come from (France) we do not have hardbacks. We have the equivalent of American softcover format as hardback and then a pocket version as the equivalent of softcover. I much prefer softcover for multiple reasons: not as heavy to hold, no risk of knocking oneself out when reading in bed (my favorite place to read), and it leaves more space to get more books on the shelves! Also, less expensive.
7) If by cataloguing the books, you mean organizing them on shelves by some order, yes, I definetely do. If you mean, listing them on files, etc, I have thought of doing that many times but the extent of the job (1,000 books) just scares me out. Maybe I will do that when I retire...
8) My to be read shelf has books I have already bought and books I have on a list to be read too. The ones I already physically have amount to about 100, the list amounts to about 300.
2)I do not like lending my books, because too many times I never see them again. I still do so though, because I hate being a mean selfish person by not lending books, and of course, some I see again and some I never see again. Even when you lend to friends, friends forget you've lent them books...

1) How many book you have - I have well over 500 not counting my kids books
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people - my mom and grandma are about the only people that I share books with - actually my mom buys the christian fiction books (that is all about all she reads besides Debbie Macomber) then sends them to my grandma and then they are sent to me. I don't lend to other people as I like my books kept perfect.
3) Do you keep them/sell them? I keep some and the others I have started putting on paperback swap. I did give about 10 boxes to the local library a couple of years ago and I sold about three boxes on a garage sale, but now I use paperback swap a lot.
4) what leads you to choose books - mostly subject/genre, some by recommendation from friends/bookclub/goodreads-groups
5) What do other people say about your collecting - My family thinks I am crazy and a nerd, even though my mom has gotten back into reading they still think my books are an addiction for me and they are
6) HArdback/paperback - mostly paperback, I do have some hardback because I don't want to wait for the paperback
7) do you catalogue the books - I have in the past, but now have so many books it would take me a few days to do this, also I have been giving books up on paperback swap so I would have to be updating my list as I do this. Maybe by Christmas I might do this.
8) How many on your tbr - too many to count - I have three book shelves that are full and one is even doubled up and most of the books on the books on the shelves have not been read, the ones I have read are in boxes in the closet.
1) How many book you have?- Wow, I really have no idea. I have so many, I stuff them wherever I can. In draws, shelves, my closet. Maybe someday I will actually count them all O.O
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people?
-I only lend out certain books I KNOW someone will read. If theres a book i THINK someone will read, I wont lend it because I cant stand the thought of the book not being enjoyed while in somebody else's hands.
3) Do you keep them/sell them?
-I keep them. I would sell some of the older one's Ive grown out of it I could just find a place to sell them XD
4) what leads you to choose books?
-How interested I am in them. Usually I like YA fiction and autiobiographies. I like crazy stories with crazy people in them.
5) What do other people say about your collecting?
-My mom believes I keep them to just look at XD I just love collecting them.
6) HArdback/paperback?
-I love paperback, but I get hardbacks if I reeeeally want the book.
7) do you catalogue the books?
-In piles according to how I read them, or enjoyed them.
8) How many on your tbr?
-Currently: 25 books that I physically own. There's way more on my tbr on here :P
I have to say I catologued my books on word documents.
I have listed them under their authors , the authors are in aphabetical order using their first name. The ones I have read are in black and those to be read are in blue
When I buy recieve book I add it to the list and once I read the book I change the colour.
I did this a few months back on paper and then transfered it onto the computer about a month or so ago
I am using the book challenge group to try and clear up my TBr
I can't help myself and go to the supermarket to just look at books and possibly buy. fustrated when do not find one and sometime if a book is cheap and looks/sounds interesting will buy it for the sake of buying it!!! an't help myself
I bought bout 30 books last month. this month 14 books (those I have recieved another roughly 10 I have ordered)
I can't help myself anyone else the same!!!
1) How many book you have I have never counted. I'm guessing between textbooks, reference books, antiquarian books (from my grandfather), cookbooks, Bibles and the rest well over 2000
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people Depends on the book and person. I learned long ago from my grandfather, never lend anything - give it. Generally, my taste is not the same as most of my friends, so their is little lending.
3) Do you keep them/sell them? If I didn't like the book enough to reread them I give them to the library or local shelter for their book sales. If it is a Christian book, I give it to my church for it's library. I always keep classics
4) what leads you to choose books Whether it is a classic, someone's recommendation, if the topic or author interest me, a review. I don't necessarily read all of one author's books, unless it is a series or I like what the author says.
5) What do other people say about your collecting Never been commented on really. My mom's side of the family would still rather read than watch T.V. and my mom and dad read a lot. They have a 800 sq.ft. basement filled with shelves, filled with books, another 400 sq.ft. of books in boxes, an area under the stairs of boxes of books and a number of 8'h x 4-6'w shelves in 4 bedrooms and living room filled with books. They don't know how many they have, but I know some of them where my great-grandmother's from the 1890's. My husband and son can be as bad about reading as I am - that's the reason for over 2000 books. And everyone at my bookstores understands
6) HArdback/paperback Depends on the book, if it is a classic or non-fiction I'm more likely to buy a hardback. If I'm impatient to wait for a fiction paperback (Harry Potter) I'll buy the HC, though I like the paperbacks, because I love to read in the tub. ;)
7) do you catalogue the books Only started when I joined Goodreads.
8) How many on your tbr On the Goodreads TBR I think I have listed over 80, my in-home pile next to my bed has 15, my mind has probably 100 more of 're-reads'
I worked in a library pre-computer days, when everything was card catalogued. I love to have everything organized by genre, alphabetized by author. This has been reinforced by working in a bookstore. I have yet to convince my husband to put books back on the shelf in order - lol! Of course his side of the bed and night table is almost worse than mine, as he doesn't put finished books on the bookshelf - in case he needs to refer to it ;)
1.Catalogued 1194-with probably that many to go-so approx 2000 in total.
2.I only lend out to specific people that I know extremely well-my books are like family.
3.I keep all my books apart from any I read and hate-I will re-read a while later and if still hate will donate to charity bookshop!
4.Many varied factors lead me to choose books-in fact sometimes I will be so intriged by a title that I will buy and read a book without reading the synopsis(I have found many wonderful books this way).
5.Well Husband supports me,1 friend is so jealous that she has told me that she wants my books when I am dead!!,some friends think that I am completely mad!others are so used to it that they do not comment anymore and another rather cruely told me that I was single handledly destroying the worlds trees!
6.Both-depends on how long I can wait for certain books!!
7.Yes,but only recently started to,due to encouragement from a friend.
8.I have 581 on my TBR shelve(some books are on it as it is so long since I read them that I want to re-read before reviewing them)
On my actually bookcases I have different ways to catagorise them, sometimes alphabetically, genre, degree of humour, holiday suitable and also ill-suitable.
I am a law unto myself when it comes to my books!!

I can imagine having so many books would be daunting to reorgainise and put in order.
Sigh... Love the idea of having so many shelves of books and a basement just filled with books!!!
Suppose as your family are all book lovers and collectors then they wouldn't complain about the books!!! you ar so lucky!!!
Afsana wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "1) How many book you have I have never counted. I'm guessing between textbooks, reference books, antiquarian books (from my grandfather), cookbooks, Bibles and the rest well over..."
During the 70's & 80's my family didn't have a lot of money for books....I did all my reading from the library. If I had to do it again, I would have catalogued what I read. I can remember plots and characters from certain obscure books that I read, but can't remember the author/title. With your living in your parents' home, I would recommend trying something like that, until you can get a place of your own to buy your books. Maybe keep a list of 'must have'. Just a thought.
Problem is Elizabeth I have a compulsion I can't help but buy the book if I want to read it. Used to go to library a lot bt they do not have a lot of books I want and due to the time limits Its difficult!!
Also at the ratee I am going I will always live at home being a single mother and only just found a job ( atemporary low paying one at that!!)
Elizabeth wrote: "I can remember plots and characters from certain obscure books that I read, but can't remember the author/title. "So true! I do the same. I can easily remember stories and characters, but have a really tough time remembering titles or authors! When I try to recommend a book to a friend, unless it's a book I have very recently read, I have a heck of a time trying to come up with the name.
1) How many book you have-
About 20-30
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people-
I used to give them away and if someone wants to read a book I have, I give it to them. Once a flight attendant wanted my review of a book so I gave it to her.
3) Do you keep them/sell them? I used to give them away trying to match the tastes/interests of friends and family. I would take stacks and tell them free books. I finally realized they were 'humoring me' when I asked how they liked the books and they confessed each time they hadn't read them. So now I seel them to the 2nd hand book store. More to share the love than anything, although the book credit is a nice side effect.
4) what leads you to choose books
Book club choices and recommendations, Hispanic authors, ones that cross my consciousness somehow that peak my interest.
5) What do other people say about your collecting
"How do you have time to read?"
6) HArdback/paperback- I like hardback best. the larger paperbacks are a good compromise.
7) do you catalogue the books- closest thing is my Goodreads booklist
8) How many on your tbr - about 15. I pretty much buy them and read them if I'm interested.

That is a difficult situation to be in. My mother-in-law was a single mom. Congratulations on getting a job in these hard times.
I just spent the afternoon putting my books in a spreadsheet on the computer. I put in 608 books and I still have the boxes in the closet to go, those were just the books on the three bookshelves.
1) About 7002) I would if anyone asked me
3) I usually trade them on PBS or Bookmooch-I also send some to soldiers through operationpaperback.org
4) I usually read the blurb and see if the plot looks good to me-I dont' pay attention to reviews much
5) my ex thought I had too many
6) I prefer paperback but will read hardcover if that's what I come across first
7) I have them on Goodreads and PBS but I'm not obsessive about it.
8) I have about 650 in my TBR-that's a guess-It's just over 600 on Goodreads but I know there are some I haven't logged in here yet.
1. Hundreds.
2. I don't generally lend out my books, because I don't keep most of them after I read them. I either pass them on to someone I know will like them, or leave them at a Bookcrossing location for someone else to pick up.
3. I'll keep very special books. (I still have my paperback of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; it must be 30 years old.) I usually give them away when I'm done, though.
4. I almost always pick my books from Bookbrowse.com's recommended books newsletters. I've had a good track record with their selections. I'll also read the books for book group selections if they sound interesting, plus I'll pick up a classic from time to time.
5. The only person who really knows what an addict I am is my husband, and he feels there are worse things I could be spending our money on.
6. EBook is my first choice, followed by paperback, followed by hardback.
7. I log both the books I buy and the ones I read.
8. My TBR list is hundreds of books long.
1) How many book you have (700 to 800 roughly)
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people (not really but only to my best friend even though she is the slowest reader on the friggin planet and actually, none of my friends really read anyways.)
3) Do you keep them/sell them? (NON!!!!!)
4) what leads you to choose books (book clubs, recommendations and so on)
5) What do other people say about your collecting (that I am the cookiest 20 something, LA girl they have ever met and that I have way too much useless knowledge stored in my brain...and to stop talking about what I am reading at the moment because no one cares. *sniff* which is why I am here on goodreads my lovely cyber book loving friends!)
6) HArdback/paperback (paperback)
7) do you catalogue the books (yes)
8) How many on your tbr (about 100)
by the by, my addiction has gotten so bad that I am looking for a two bedroom apartment to house the orphan books who are currently being stored on my piano/under lamps/under my bed/on my dinner table...I could go on...I think (for my pride's sake) I will stop there. I know you all understand, which is why I don't mind admitting this. :)
My husband thinks I am a "loonytune" his words.

Do not listen to him,you are completely sane!Just like the rest of we book addicts!!
I'm not willing to go that far, DJ. Completely sane? Pish. I'm not sure there's one person on here that's completely sane. We all need our looneytune habits. To steal from Star Wars
"If sane is the bright center of the universe, book addicts are on the planet furthest from it."
Th-th-th-th-that's all, folks!!!
Husbands hey!!!
I am sure he doesn't really mind
My ex was ok with me reading as long as he wasn't home-if he was home he wanted to be sole focus!!!
My reading came to a halt for quite a while
But now can read what I want when I want!! independance is good!!!
1) How many book you have
No idea. I have too many in random places to keep count. Not to mention the ones still packed in boxes.
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people
Yes, I lend them out. Usually to my sister, my bfs, or my sister in law.
3) Do you keep them/sell them?
I keep the ones I like or have sentimental value. I swap books on paperbackswap.
4) what leads you to choose books
The author sometimes, reviews I've read on goodreads, etc.
5) What do other people say about your collecting
My husband hates it and comments all the time on how much I spend. Of course, I don't spend nearly as much as I could!
6) HArdback/paperback
Both, if the hardback is on sale or a book I have to have.
7) do you catalogue the books
No, but I should.
8) How many on your tbr
usually around 50. It fluctuates.
Miss GP wrote: "1. Hundreds.

What is a Bookcrossing location?
Hi April - I'm a member of http://www.bookcrossings.com. You register your books online, then leave them for others to find (and hopefully report where they picked up the book). It's kind of like "Where's George" for books. A Bookcrossing location is a place many Bookcrossers use as a book drop. They're generally in coffee shops or other easily accessible public locations.
You can actually leave the books anywhere; you don't necessarily have to leave them at a designated place.
1) How many book you have
At least 300
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people
I am very reluctant to lend them out because I so seldom get them back again. The exception is a co-worker of mine with whom I exchange books occassionally.
3) Do you keep them/sell them?
I tend to keep books--I'm a re-reader--but those that I absolutely know for a fact I will never read again, I donate to Goodwill or similar.
4) what leads you to choose books
If it's by an author whose previous books I've enjoyed...good reviews on Amazon or here...if the description in The New Yorker sounds interesting enough...if a trusted friend recommends it...
5) What do other people say about your collecting
DH thinks I have too many books, yet he recently bought two new bookshelves to accomodate the overflow. I have stacks of books EVERYWHERE in the house.
6) HArdback/paperback
Either one.
7) do you catalogue the books
I try to keep them organized by author.
8) How many on your tbr
12, I think.

Me, too, Asfana! He hated that I would rather read a book than watch college basketball on TV with him. In fact when we were in the splitting-up phase, he made a little list of things I did "wrong" and that was one of them. The sickening thing about it is, he wasn't trying to be mean, he was trying to "help" me.
Dear Nathaniel,
I was being IRONIC ! ! !,
You'll get used to my warped(get it?)sense of humour-I hope.

how they always think they are trying to help
I have definatly a problem and am addicted to buying books
yesterday had to go to the supermarket and when I returned my nearly 3 yr old daughter (who i hadn't took) Asked me what book I bought. Bad sign when at the age they have cottoned on to the fact that I am always buying books!!!
Mary, that is too funny. Your ex wanted to help you by telling you to read less. Yes, that is commonly accepted to watch TV more and read less makes you smarter.... NOT
Sounds like you dodged a bullet getting rid of that guy!
1)So many that my 6ft high shelf is sagging! Some are even under my bed and in the basement.
2) I lend them to certain people and always request that they return them
3) KEEP!
4) I read my Favorite Authors and freind suggestions.
5) Nothing! They know better
6) I used to try to collect all of my favorite authors in hard cover but lately, I have been getting paperback because they are easier to carry around!
7) I cataloge the books by author and then by the ones that I have read and those that I haven't...I have more "to read" than "have read" books!
8) How many on your tbr....more than I want to count!

That is why we are here Jessica!!!
Maybe he was just pointing out that I am nuttier than everyone else?
As long as he means in a book only sense I can live with it.I have broad shoulders as they say!
1. I have at least 3000 books but have never actually counted them...they're everywhere.
2.I basically have 2 good friends who I will lend books to because I know when I get them back they will be in the same shape as when I lent them, otherwise no...although now that I think about it, nobody else asks me
3.I have pretty much run out of room for books and insist on buying more all the time so am having to either give to friends or trade in some of my books after I've finished reading them...however I have hundreds of signed and/or rare first editions that I will never part with...I don't know how many people are familiar with Folio Society books (beautiful books from the UK, all in slipcases),but I have about 150 of those and I will be keeping those as well
4.Random browsing, book reviews,Goodreads, I like the cover, I've never heard of the author...you name it
5.It's usually "you have how many books?" and/or "are you crazy?"
6.I prefer hardcovers and have a lot of them but have a lot of paperbacks too
7.No I don't really catalog them...I'm listing them on Goodreads as I read them...have heard of another site called Librarything...does anyvbody know if it is a good site for cataloging books?
8. I think I have about 500 on my Goodreads tbr list, but actually probably own 2500 books or so that I haven't read yet, just haven't added them all...as I said earlier I can't stop buying books, even though I probably need to live to be about 150 to read the ones I have...what can I say...it's an obsession, or as Nicholas Basbanes would say, "a gentle madness"
This was a great idea for a thread by the way
1) How many book you have - I have no idea! I would guess at about 200ish...maybe less.
2) Do you lend them out and and if you do is it to only certain people - I only lend them to my best friend but thats mostly because shes the only person i know that reads the same kind of books as me
3) Do you keep them/sell them? I keep them or trade them
4) what leads you to choose books - If it sounds like something i would like or if it is recommended to me by someone who likes the same kind of things as me.
5) What do other people say about your collecting - My boyfriend says that i do not need so many books! But what does he know?!
6) HArdback/paperback - I have about 3 hardbacks. I prefer paperback!
7) do you catalogue the books - No not really. Although i like to keep all my series together.
8) How many on your tbr - Too many! I'm not sure. About 300!
1. I have about 75-ish books and my collection is growing rapidly. 2. I do lend my books out, that's part of the fun of reading, sharing a great book with someone else. Mostly I only lend to other serious readers so they know to bring it back . . .
3. I keep books/authors that I really like/love and entire series that I like/love. Anything else I put on Paperback Swap.
4. It's pretty random how I chose books, if they look interesting, or have been recommended or if I really like the author, and i have been known to buy a book because I like the way it feels/looks as well (we'll call this an occupational hazard, I am a designer)
5. No one really comments on my collecting aside from my husband. He thinks I am a little nuts but he's never tried to stop me and he has been known to buy me books as gifts, so it can't really be that bad yet. Mostly people comment on the amount of reading I do but not the amount of books I have.
6. If it's a series I prefer to have them all in Hardcover with matching covers. Same for authors I really like. I hate Mass Market Paperbacks but I like the way a nice Trade Paperback (especially the big fat ones) feels in my hand when I am reading. If it doesn't fall into either a favorite author or a series catagory I will buy either Trade Paperback or Hardcover, it really doesn't matter.
7.I don't catalogue my books at all really, although I try and keep a series together, and multiple books by the same author together.
8. There are about 8 books TBR that are physically on my book shelves but there are probably about 75-100 more that I want to get my hands on to read. =)

Re Librarything,a friend recently told me about it and I have it on computer, you can take a tour 1st.You can catalogue your 1st 200 books free after that amount I believe in conversion it is about £9 a year or a life membership works out to £13.I don`t know more just now as Husband going to treat me from our Baby-Badgie-Boy for Christmas but I hope it helps a little,
Nice to meet you DJ
