1727075 My goal for this year is 75 books because several of them are YA. I am interested how many I actually do read in one birth year. Perhaps it'll inspire me toward more lofty goals in the future!

Edit - goal is 125 books.

1727075 When I turned 31 I started tracking the books I had read at this age. This was prompted by Dr. P.Boxall's 1001 challenge, where the spreadsheet includes a formula noting how many books you need to read per year, dependent on your age.

I doubled the list, as I included some other lists and some books that were recommended to me, given to me, were part of a group read, or just looked neat in the store and made their way home with me.

I should add my birthday is at the end of March, so as of this posting, I am almost at the half-way point of 'my' year.

Edit on 9/25/09:
After reading of other members goals, I decided to edit mine. I have increased the goal from 75 to 125. In addition, I need to finish two books from my own and TBR pile, before I can buy one more new book.

As incentive to finish my goal, and reduce my overall TBR pile, I am going to donate $5/book if I don't reach my goal, to come out of my book-buying budget.
