He writes through the lives of several different people, their reactions to and effects on the their lives of the attacks on the towers. A young Afghan student, an American Palestinian, some CIA operatives, and the administration of P. Bush, all and more are covered extremely well written, and managing to give a feeling of hope through these people's lives and what is means to be an American.
