1038816 What is the scariest sex scene from a book or film?

message 2: by Mechelle (new)

2710707 In The House on Nazareth Hill, Ramsey Campbell writes a part where a person is left tied to the bed as their lover goes to investigate something. The person is left in the dark. No good comes of it!

2162008 Well it's not quite related but it was a scary scene spawned by a sex scene. Stephen King Geralds Game. Woman hand cuffed to a bed for a bit of the old rude box when suddenly her partner dies. The book is about her on the bed and what she thinks about etc. At this point I am about to talk about she has been there for a while and it's not looking good. Anyway one time she wakes up and see's a shadow in the corner of the room then looks again in sheer fright as she realises it's a person! Hooded and cloaked in black with a huge mouth that hangs down to the chest.
I think because the book is mostly devoid of any other people in her situation it kind of acts like the screetching cats in those "lets tip-toe to where we think the murderer is" bits in horror films.
I dont think I do the scene justice but it sticks out as a royal mindF&&k for me.
When I read it I felt my heart drop a bit and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck. Any more exitement and I would have dropped down dead of a heart attack. Considering I was reading it on the toilet at work, it wouldn't have been the most appropriate ending for me. On the toilet at home, of course!, at work, sheesh, no thanks.
Check it out - (sic)!

1448151 Opening scene in Edward Lee's Succubi. It is more disturbing and weird than scary...but that's most of his 'sex scenes'...lol

message 5: by Melissa (new)

1887756 Any of the sex scenes from American Psycho would qualify, I would think. At least the ones that take place later in the book, when Patrick brings power tools into the act hah...

I was going to mention this one too, Jerry. I liked Gerald's Game.

How about the scene in Silence of the Lambs when that man is forced to rape that prostitute with a strap-on made out of a knife? OMG. I still cringe when I think of how that would feel.

Some of the most disgusting I've ever read about:

American Psycho - When Patrick is doing oral on a woman in a menage a trois and he rips her clitoris off. He might even rip and eat a nipple. I'm too traumatized to remember.

Bighead - When a redneck rapes an old woman's colostomy bag hole.

Survivor - When Animal rapes a baby and tears it apart, eating pieces of it. I will never, ever, ever, unread this.

1887756 I haven't read SOTL in years, but that scene sounds exactly like from the film Seven...then again, it borrowed loads of elements from SOTL as it is...

Oh God, that scene in Survivor was one of the very few I have ever had to put the book down for...it wasn't the most well-written book, but extremely effective...

message 8: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (last edited Sep 12, 2009 10:15PM) (new)

226335 Oh, crap. I meant Seven! I had a funny feeling when I was writing SOTL that it just wasn't right. My husband was waiting impatiently for me to come watch Bubba Ho-Tep and I wrote without thinking.

That baby scene was horrendous. Although I enjoyed the book much to my surprise, I wouldn't want to meet the man who would even think of writing a scene like that.

1853928 Cape Fear, when Robert de Niro is having sex with a prostitute. You never actually see anything, but the menace in the atmosphere is palpable. Also the scenes where he's impersonating a drama coach and talking to the teenage daughter.

message 10: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 Also the scenes where he's impersonating a drama coach and talking to the teenage daughter.

And he sticks his finger in her mouth?

message 11: by Jerrod (new)

1302171 se7en gentleman is forced to rape a prostitute with a massive constructed dildo with a knife on the end. Poor guy lost his mind, consequently the actor also looses his chest in Alien: Resurrection.

message 12: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 There's a similar scene in Exquisite Corpse where the young boy gets stuck in the bum with a knife before he panics and tries to get out of the house.

834245 Paul wrote: "Cape Fear, when Robert de Niro is having sex with a prostitute. You never actually see anything, but the menace in the atmosphere is palpable. Also the scenes where he's impersonating a drama coach..."

I agree - that is sickingly creepy.

Disgusting beyond belief to me are the scenes in I Spit On Your Grave (the original/first) and if I remember correctly The Last House on the Left (original).

message 14: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 Jo, those movies don't even sound like movies you'd watch. I haven't seen TLHOTL in about twenty years and really don't plan on it. I recently saw the scene where the group made the victim wet her pants. It was on some anniversary site that had a lot of info. about the movie.

message 15: by Jo (last edited Sep 13, 2009 04:40PM) (new)

834245 Yeah, ugh, they were my ex-bo's choices. Definitely could've done without seeing them and don't plan to ever see them again! They were just plain f'd up.

2118293 Survivor (prologue), when the woman has the teen girl tied-up in the basement and rips out the girls eye with her teeth.

Another that was scary (and really gross) was in Edward Lee's book The House/Pig when the girls were more-or-less forced to have sex with animals...ewwww.

message 17: by Collette (new)

1037547 Ok, kind of lame here as I can't remember the story title or the author but it was in one of the earliest Hot Blood anthologies and the idea of the scene has always stuck with me, many years later. This guy is hiking in the woods and comes to a cabin with a woman and her two? beautiful daughters. Anyway the whole horror part is made up of the fact that the two daughters have several, really sharp teeth in their "female areas" and the male's member doesn't stand much of a chance during sex if she decides to take control of the situation. lol When I think of sex and horror, that is what I remember.

message 18: by King Dinösaur (new)

610692 Well, I don't know about a "scene" but Kathe Koja's book "The Cipher" is one, long disturbing sex scene, as I remember it. Also, Ramsey Campbell's collection, "Scared Stiff" is sexy-scary.

message 19: by King Dinösaur (new)

610692 Vagina dentata - there are several stories based on that freaky folk-tale.

message 20: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

Explanations, please. How can you leave us hanging like this?

How come Chris never told me about this book?

Vagina dentata? Guess that would be like dropping a carrot into a garbage disposal and grinding it to pulp. The gnashing of teeth. Oh, the humanity.

That old woman in Survivor is vile. Anytime an eyeball is punctured in a movie or book, I just want to puke.

message 21: by Chris (new)

1448151 I chose to pick a scene for a novel...but both American Psycho and Exquisite Corpse both also get nods from me on the truly disturbing and disgusting category.

732181 Don't Look Now

message 23: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 Scott, are you the one scared of Donald Sutherland's fro in Don't Look Now? I liked that sex scene, but remember a discussion here last year where several people didn't like it.

message 24: by Scott (new)

732181 Everything about Donald Sutherland is scary.

message 25: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 He does have a...different look.

message 26: by Carl (new)

2339201 I seem to remember a particularly nasty scene in R. Patrick Gates Grimm Memorials involving an old lady.

message 30: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 Show me!

message 31: by Scott (new)

732181 It was a picture of Sutherland making a scary face and pointing from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

message 32: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (last edited Sep 15, 2009 12:34PM) (new)

226335 Oh, I love that picture of him, lol. But don't you think his sex face in Don't Look Now was scarier?

message 33: by Scott (new)

732181 I'm sorry, I've blocked it out.

message 34: by Chris (new)

1448151 Oh wait....there's a scene in an Edward Lee book involving sexual congress with a colostomy bag...

message 35: by Jerrod (new)

1302171 don't forget worthless movie written by Lee, which a drill, knife and secured head make for a sexy night out.

message 36: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 Chris, I already covered that one. And he doesn't get it on with the colostomy bag, but with the colostomy bag entrance hole in the lady's body. Even that cretin wouldn't do the bag.

OK. I've heard about that Lee movie, even went to the site to gawk at it. How would a man have sex with a drilled skull hole? Wouldn't the skull bone hurt? It's just beyond stupid.

message 37: by Chris (new)

1448151 Geez, listen to the vitriol from you people. And the 'worthless' movie is based on the 'worthless' novella, Header. Which is part of the 'worthless' collection aptly named Sex, Drugs and Power Tools. ;)

OK. I've hear..."

Thanks for the clarification, Tressa...but wouldn't that just be PART of the bag itself? I knew that already.

message 39: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 I don't exactly know how a colostomy bag works and how it fits into the body, and I hope to God I never personally find out. But, no, I don't think it's part of the bag. I think he ripped the bag out. My eyes didn't dwell too long on that scene. I think that's when I finally shut the book for good and returned it to ILL.

Vitriol? I'm always just playing around with you. Hope you know that.

Good to know you agree, the movie was trash with no story. I'll assume he actually writes a story in the book version.

message 41: by Chris (new)

1448151 Actually, Jerrod, I loved it. I was being sarcastic. Haven't seen the movie yet but I want to...probably buy it, as well. Would make such a lovely Xmas gift for me...lol

Of course I know, Tressa. No worries! :)

LOL, I know, being a smart ass. I'll eventually read Lee, but being a movie whore, I didn't find much entertainment with Header the movie. I didn't realize it was so old either, 2006.

message 44: by Melissa (new)

1887756 I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one extremely disappointed with the movie version of Header...I have yet to get ahold of a copy of the book, but the movie was bloody awful. :\

I can handle messed up stuff like that, but I expect a little something in return, like a solid story [hell even semi-solid works:], and good character development. It didn't have any one of those. But you don't know what's been changed from the book and the two mediums rarely translate accurately from one to the other.

2225408 My friend got this mm slash book and one scene the dude (I think he was a mutant or something?) had genitalia that was comically huge...HUGE. That was pretty scary.

Details of the Hunt has some crazy sex scenes too. The alien's genitals are something like unto Cthulhu’s face.

Yeah, apparently, it was stuck in distribution hell, as most indie films are sometimes...but it finally got a distributor a year or so ago.

message 48: by Kelly (new)

2856605 okay, i have given this a lot of thought. there are many to choose from , but, i will go with the movie Happiness. the scene implying a fathers rape of his sons friend, after slipping some drugs in his snack. on whole, i felt filthy after seeing this movie, but, that scene was particularly hard to ingest.

732181 Christy wrote: "My friend got this mm slash book and one scene the dude (I think he was a mutant or something?) had genitalia that was comically huge...HUGE."

That reminds me of Pandora Drive. Awful book. If I heard the phrase "monster cock" one more time...seriously, it was like a junior high student wrote it.

message 50: by Tressa, Moana Lisa (new)

226335 Kelly, I hated that movie. Why was it even made? There was not one likable character. The scene where the father admits to his son that he is a pedophile and raped his two friends and tells his son he wouldn't rape him, but would jerk off instead is disgusting. On the whole this is a sick, perverted movie.
