I'm voting for Lake Tahoe (California/Nevada).

I was just there for the first time this weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed with a bunch of friends in a rented log cabin. It was a lovely weekend. Even though we don't ski or snowboard it was still nice to walk around to see the amazing views. Snow covered mountains, snow dusted evergreen trees, and a sparkling lake. I'm looking forward to going there in the summer.

Gee now this list could get ugly & very long. But if you are ever in Oklahoma I would suggest going to DiscoveryLand just outside of Tulsa/Sand Springs in the NE part of "Green Country". Its where in the summer months an outdoor theater of either Rogers & Hammerstein's musicals of OKLAHOMA or SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS are performed nightly. People come from all over the world to see a performance. I tend to go every year or so for the past 30 years and still enjoy going!

or even close to Bartlesville, OK (okay a bit from there actually) you have Woolaroc the home of the founder of Phillips Petroleum. There is a very large collection of indian & western art present.

Both are excellent for families and people of all ages.

St. Paul's Co-Cathedral in Valetta, Malta is a significant omission from the list. Mdina in Malta should be on the list.
