Haha, I'm a big fan also. I'm trying to decide if I want to read her for this task or for the superhero task as she's been a longtime hero of mine.

I recently read The World Without Us which discusses what would happen to the planet if humans were to disappear tomorrow. Its truly fascinating and I actually ranked it as one of my favorite books of the year. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a book for this category.

83144 Just a few ideas...

Carl Sagan (except Contact as that is actually fiction, not non-fiction).
Stephen W. Hawking
Jane Goodall
Stephen Jay Gould
Charles Darwin
Richard Dawkins
Albert Einstein

You could find a book about something that you're interested in... say you're interested in electricity - there are some good books about Tesla out there, etc.

Even this one was listed: The Little SAS(R) Book, A Primer, Third Edition

Anyone have suggestions?
