2399950 I am looking for any book where the hero/heroine are maybe poor and are either a maid, stable boy etc. I love to read books with this topic but haven't found too too many. Can anyone help me???

1570669 Rose in The Spy by Celeste Bradley used to be a maid. She is recruited to be a spy in the Liar's Club.

I assume you read Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas. John McKenna was a former stableboy.

1365355 Most of Kleypas' heroes/heroines are working class or middle class. In Midnight Angel, the heroine is the governess.

One of the reasons it's not that common may be because it wasn't really that likely with the disparities in hygiene, education, language, etc. Of course, I love that storyline as much as the next person, LOL. I'll add more if I think of any...

883725 Devil Takes a Bride by Gaelen Foley - The heroine has been a companion to the Knight family's youngest sister all her life, and in this book has moved on to be a companion to the hero's elderly aunt.

Impulse by Candace Camp - This wasn't one of my favorites, but it's similar to Again the Magic. The hero was a former stableboy who was employed by the heroine's family.

A Woman Scorned by Liz Carlyle - Hero works as a tutor for the heroine's children.

1133802 I just finished one where the hero is a Bow Street Runner, hired as a bodyguard from the heroine's father -who's an earl- to protect her. I really enjoyed reading it: Seduced at Midnight

Also, in The Leopard Prince, the hero is the heroine's estate manager. It's set in Georgian times and it's a lovely book with hot love scenes.

An Offer From a Gentleman is a twist on the Cinderella story. The heroine gets hired as the hero's maidservant. A very nice and light book.

In Slightly Wicked, the heroine is serving as the companion of her aunt. I liked that one a lot.

In How to Marry a Marquis, the heroine is the paid companion to the hero's aunt. The hero -a marquis in fact- is posing as his aunt's estate manager in order to find a blackmailer.

In The Raven Prince the heroine is the hero's secretary. The love scenes in this one are HOT but it's also deeply emotional.

Rules of Engagement, Reforming a Rake, An Affair to Remember are all books where the heroine is a governess to the hero's charges.

In Simply Love the hero is an estate manager and the heroine a governess. Warning: the hero is scarred, missing an eye and arm.

In More Than a Mistress, the heroine is hired as the hero's -what else?- mistress.

In And Then He Kissed Her, the heroine is the hero's secretary.
