925476 We're going to vote for October and November's book selections at the same time again. We'll take the first 14 book title nominations and I'll split them up in to two groups of seven in the Polls. The winner from each group will be our Group Read for October and then November.

The rules for submitting a book title:
1) One submission per UF member (regardless of whether we are nominating for more than one month at a time)
2) Please submit the title and author
3) UF titles are preferred, but supernatural, sci-fi, and fantasy are acceptable too.
4) It must be the first book in a series or a stand-alone title
NOTE = If the title is in a series, but can be read without previous knowledge of the earlier books, feel free to submit it.
5) If we have already read and discussed the first book in the series as a group, the second title can be submitted.

You can view our Group Read History here.

We'll go to a total of 14 nominations or an end date of Monday, September 14th - whichever comes first.

Please start nominating titles... and newcomers, please don't be shy - we would love to hear from you!

325271 On the Edge by Ilona Andrews
(new series - to be released Sept 29th)

from Amazon:

The Broken is a place where people shop at Wal-Mart and magic is nothing more than a fairy tale.

The Weird is a realm where blueblood aristocrats rule and the strength of your magic can change your destiny.

Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, the place between both worlds. A perilous existence indeed, made even more so by a flood of magic-hungry creatures bent on absolute destruction.

1. There is only one nomination per UF member permitted.
2. These two titles are not UF, fantasy, or paranormal so neither is applicable for our Group Read.

If you would like to nominate a title that falls in one of those categories, please feel free to do so. Thanks.

message 22: by Dawn (new)

2461441 Is three days to dead supposed to be there twice?

thanks, Dawn

message 23: by Theresa (new)

925476 Thanks for the catch, Dawn. I've corrected it.

message 24: by Nancy (new)

1780397 Three Days to Dead has a release date of 11/24/09, so it would work better as a nominee for December. Definitely on my TBR list!

message 25: by Theresa (new)

925476 I guess if Three Days to Dead wins, we'll roll it over to December's Group Read since it has that later release date. The runner-up would win for November if that is the case.

Thanks, NancyHolzner.
