FV = Fountain Valley? Born and lived in S Cal, but I don't know if I've ever been to Fountain Valley. I'm new to Orange County, way down here in the southern tip. Don't know my way around very well yet.
Ruth there is a great used bookstore called Camelot on 18838 Brookhurst & Garfield in F V. It was Amazing. He has books everywhere. It would probably take a month to go through the whole store. He sells rare books also.
Thanks Beej and Carol. The incident in the supermarket with the man who looked like my father actually happened. It left me in tears, and was the impetus for writing the poem.
Oh Ruth I loved the poem Faces. I actually cried. The paintings are beautiful. Thank You for sharing.
Thanks, Beej. Flattery will get you everyplace. There are three pieces of my newer work up at the website of Rattle Poetry Magazine. I’m finding poems and making artwork on the pages of old books.http://www.rattle.com/blog/2009/03/the-m...

Some older paintings and poems are still on the old Constant Reader site, accessed through the Wayback Machine Internet Archive.

See how hard you had to twist my arm?
I've been browsing through your old poems. Damn, woman, you can write. Do you have any of your artwork on here? Do y'all have any idea how well this woman paints?
I'm pleased you want to read it. Thanks. But the only way to read it right now is to buy the publication. If you'd like to see some of my older, previously published poems, though, you can go tohttp://www.goodreads.com/story/list/3351...
Oh. I would like to read it. Is there somewhere else to read it. I like poetry. I try my hand sometimes,But just for mu family.
Thanks, Lynn. I dunno about the more success, but they do seem to come in just regularly enough to keep me going.
Congratulations, Ruth. Is it my imagination, or have you beeen having even more success in getting your poetry accepted in journals this year?
Congratulations from me too, Ruth. I love anything to do with lizards so look forward to reading this one.
The current issue of Chicago Quarterly Review includes my poem Now is the Time of Black Lizards. It's a print journal, but you can see the cover and contents at http://www.chicagoquarterlyreview.com/
