Nophoto-f-25x33 Just joined this group...I am an avid reader and welcome any excuse to read so I love this idea of reading 50 books in a year. My year will follow the school year from September 1st 2009 to September 1st 2010.

Book #1: Shopaholic Ties the Knot by Sophie Kinsella
Shopaholic Ties the Knot (Shopaholic, Book 3)

As with the previous books in this series, this one is an easy read. It's fun and sweet and no matter what Becky does you just want to hug her!

Nophoto-f-25x33 Book #2: Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton
The Andromeda Strain

I love a good disaster book and after reading the back cover thought it would live up to the claims but it was anything but. Very slow, dry and even though it had a lot of scientific and technical information, I found the plot and characters to be very vague.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Book #3: Skipping Christmas by John Grisham
Skipping Christmas

A comical look at the Christmas season. It was laugh-out-loud funny, touching and in the end really shows you what the season is really all about.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Book #4: The Hollow by Nora Roberts
The Hollow (Sign of Seven trilogy #2)

I'm really enjoying this trilogy. It's got it all: romance, mystery, suspense. Looking forward to the last book.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Book #5: The Pagan Stone by Nora Roberts
The Pagan Stone (Sign of Seven trilogy #3)

Did not enjoy this book as much as the first two and at times found myself just rushing through it in order to finish it. Was expecting more emphasis on the battle with the "dark side" in this book. I think I've had enough of Nora Roberts for a while.
