Stephen Interesting. I've never listened to a book on cassette. Good crime writers and certain poets would tempt me to try. If Pelacanos has any on cassette, I may give it a chance. Excellent review, Bill. By the way, I'm a D.C. kid. Take care.

Richard Krawiec This is one of the great novels of the 20th Century. Price is able to inhabit the POV of a multitude of characters, from the African-Americans, both men and woman, living in the housing projects to the white racist cop to the single mother unable to cope with her life. A great work of literature that is also a page turner.
