It had everything going for it that a reader (like myself) looks for: flowing dialogue, drama, suspense, and romance. It was quite a journey that Abby and Eric made into each other's arms. I've read over a thousand same-type stories from sites such as Allromanceebooks, Samhain, and Ellora's Cave. This being said; I know what good is and The Captain's Lady is certainly in the top ten percent of the books I've read. It's a story I'll read again and again in the coming years.
