218118 Eckhart Tolle has effected the most transformation in my life of all the authors I have read. I just finished The Art of Presence and was looking for a new book of his. I didn't really understand what A New Earth was from its title. But then I heard about it on Oprah and browsed through its pages and it was just what I was looking for in this moment - a way to bring my spiritual practice from the conceptual to the actual.

424383 I'll begin. I decided to read A New Earth for two reasons. First, because I want to wake up from the sometimes bad movie I think I live in, and second, because I recognize that with proper understanding, I have the ability to transend the limitations I impose upon myself, and therefore reach the full measure of my creation as a daughter of God.

I decided to put the book to the test to see whether this might compliment and add to scripture, which I turn to daily as I seek to know God's will for me. The book has been challenging for me, and I almost put it down for good, but I am infinitely glad I picked it up again.

(The topic for this thread was taken from the class work book.)
