Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments Too bad we couldn't be at 1300 for Friday the 13th. That might've been cool. Then again, it might've been just... crickets.

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments Definitely crickets.

But what if you consider that it posted on page 13 of this thread? Still crickets?

Oh Clark Phil. Thank you SO MUCH for putting that in my head.

message 615: by Amelia (new)

Amelia Am I the only girl who gawks at passing fire trucks to see if the firemen are cute? I don't chase them. I just want to see if they are. I have no idea why I am compelled to know.

message 616: by Lobstergirl (new)

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments I imagine there are other gawkers. Not including me.

message 617: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6485 comments I haved a friend who is a captain at a fire house, and one day he was out in the truck doing fire inspections, but they drove buy my work as I was getting in my car, and I didn't see them coming and they honked the horn on the fire truck right as they went by. They scared the living shit out of me, and I bet they are still laughing.

message 618: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11395 comments They drove right buy?

message 619: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Phil, I think they drove rite buy.

Amber, I always look at fireman for eye candy.

message 620: by Amelia (new)

Amelia Ha! You can't know, Phil, what pleasure I take in someone taking the piss out of Jim for a change!

(That needs to go in the "double meanings" thread...)

Almost, I am having a hard time seeing anything that I am typing, The angioedema is making it difficult to see much. Eyes are almost swollen shut, but not quite.

Amelia What?

Sure, now I feel like an ass...

Sorry, Jim. Here's your piss back.

*takes piss from Phil, hands to Jim*

message 623: by Amelia (new)

Amelia Allergic or hereditary?

message 624: by Amelia (new)

Amelia Airway okay?

message 625: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6485 comments Its been going on and off for about four weeks, eyes, eyebrows, hands, arms, lips and tongue.

There is apparently something in the air right now according to the allergist. I finally took a day off of work.

Phil can keep my piss :-)

message 626: by Amelia (new)

Amelia Hear that, Phil? Score!

Sorry, Jim. Hope you feel better.

message 627: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 3819 comments Poor Jim! Hope you feel better soon. Does a cool compress help reduce the swelling?

message 629: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 2616 comments Yay. The member count goes up. Mostly made up of lurkers who are afraid to post (with good reason), but they make a great audience for the thirty or so who do.

Amelia Stop.

message 638: by Lobstergirl (new)

Lobstergirl | 21710 comments I can't figure out how we have 1507 members and only 25 people who post regularly.

message 643: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10824 comments I think it's like having a Disney World membership or some such thing... The people who live near there actually get value out of it and the people who travel to there and only sign up for savings don't get the same kind of value out of it.

I think some people sign up just to say they're in a group. Maybe they stalk us. Maybe they're covert operatives. Maybe they're just shy or too scared to post here. Maybe they thought it would be fun but they got busy and then forgot they joined this group... who knows.

message 644: by Lobstergirl (new)

message 646: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 2616 comments I wondered at the time why adding members was a big deal when the group, as a whole, was so aggressively narrow-minded.
