I appreciate these reviews. I was trying to decide if I should see this in the theaters or not. But, I think I, too, will wait for DVD. Since it's not a "cinematic experience" or anything, I'm sure I can enjoy it just as much from my couch as the stadium seating;>
I will probably wait for this one to come to DVD but I am still looking forward to it even if it's nothing amazing.
I saw this movie on Saturday and give it 3.5 out of 5. Alexis is very good, but the saving of the film are the performances by Michael Keaton and Carol Burnett. I laughed out loud several times. This story is apparently based on the writer's real experience with trying to find a job Post Grad, which makes it better in my book. Enjoy!
I watched this movie last week. It was cute--but certainly not as witty, clever, or incisive as Gilmore Girls ever was (even season 7). If you're not looking for a cinematic gem, it's a pleasant enough 1.5 hours. And Alexis Bledel is looking pretty with a cute co-star, as always (but keep your eyes peeled for the older Brazilian...)
I definitely want to see this movie as soon as it comes out. Unfortunately, the movie theater by my college only shows two movies a week, so if Post Grad isn't one of them I'll have to find a new theater near by.
I am looking forward to this movie I will probably have to wait for it to go to movie chanel (no theatre anywhere near here). Just based on the previews I can feel the pain of the predicament most of my generation that has gone the university route can. I think, its fitting that there's this thread and the Nanny Diaries is next months book. I believe (at least based on the movie) that the premise of that book is, if not the same at least similarily themed. About 'finding yourself' post college. :)
My friend and I were going to see it yesterday in a theater in another town, but it stormed horribly all day, so we didn't go. I'm dying to see it! Alexis is so adorable! I always think of her as Rory Gilmore though. xD
I'm excited to see this movie. It really does seem like it's picking up where Gilmore Girls ended with Rory. Too bad there's no Lorelai:/
It does sort of seem a little cliche but it still seems good. Alexis is a really good actress and it'll be interesting to see her play this part. Like Zala said, it's kind of like when Rory graduated college and had a hard time finally getting her job.
I just saw the trailer. So the story is a little cliche, but I really like Alexis and I think this part is really great for her - kinda like if Rory didn't get a job when finnishing college. :) It looks like a nice enough movie and if it ever comes to my country I'll go and see it. If it doesn't I'll find a (illegal, lol) way. :D
I cannot wait for Post Grad! Alexis Bledel is one of my favorite actresses, and I can totally relate to her character in this movie.
I think it looks like it could be a great movie--such a relevant concept and I think Bledel could be very good in it. From the preview, it looks a bit cliched but perhaps the overall film will be better. At least it looks fun!

I've seen the previews on TV and in the theater and am really looking forward to seeing it. It's good to see Alexis Bledel make the transition successfully.
Oh I love in the US so I'm hoping I can see it pretty soon after it comes out. Anna: I'm sorry. I hope you'll be able to see it.
Marion: That's not too much after when it's coming out in the US. I think it's coming out near the end of August where I live.
I hope it's still on when I move to MA in September.. I really want to see it and it won't be on in Germany until September.
