1020084 I gave that one 3 stars. I thought it was an awesome concept with the illustrations throughout the book, and I always love books about books.

I was hooked from the beginning, but towards the middle, it slowed down a lot and it seemed like there was A LOT to get through. It wasn't bad enough to make me stop reading, but I did get anxious for the end. Just last week I picked it up again, just to look through the illustrations. I think if you're an Eco fan, you'll like this one.

Hi Jessica.

What a great year of reading you have had!! What was this Eco novel like? I really love his other books, but haven't read this one yet.

1020084 The beginning was good for me, but then it started to drag a bit...well, not really drag, but I started to wonder what the point of the story was. At about the 150 page mark, it started to come together, and after that, I really enjoyed the rest of it.

1344527 Jessica,

How was this? I've thought about starting it several times but it never grabbed my attention enough to pick it up.

1020084 I really enjoyed Motherless Brooklyn too, Susanna. I think Ed Norton will be perfect as Lionel.

I loved The Gargoyle, Lacey. There's parts of it that still haunt me when I think about it. It was just beautiful. :)

#41: The Gargoyle . . . I loved this book. It was so creative and really made me think about life from another perspective. Truly moving and intelligently written. I'm inspired by some of your choices and will add them to my list!
