I cannot think of one book I disliked when I was a wee-small child. BUT - when I became an adult I grew to despise "The Giving Tree" because I finally understood the message it was presenting. I think it is a terrible message from a very good writer. The Giving Tree
I've been really searching my memory about this ... I don't remember hating any children's books that I read. I was such a voracious reader as a child! I fell in love with the printed word and have never fallen out. My reading was not restricted, so I wandered from novels to nonfiction, and fairly early on into the adult sections; early enough that the librarian demanded I get my mom's permission to check out the books in my huge pile (probably books from the paranormal section on werewolves, ghosts, and witchcraft).
I HATED cerious Genroge. And where the wild things are. I was un-impressed. LOL. I LOVED BRG though. Read that one 6 times. LOL.
My teacher hates the childrens book with the worm and it eats 20things or something like that... It was the name of Google one day and she said she hated it because as her last uni assignment she had to do twenty thousand word essay for kindergarten teaching [it was a long title:], and she is a middle/senior school teacher and she got really annoyed.
And we all just laughed. Lol.
Pinocchio The Adventures of a MarionetteI hate that book...the Disney movie is somewhat better but the book makes me want to burn Pinocchio
The willow flute a north country tale
There was another book called "Scat" but I don't remember the author and it's not on GR.
I hated both books because of the pathetic illustrations (lol!)
Name the childrens books that you hated!
I can only think of one off the top of my head...
Curious George-H.A. Rey
