Movie IS NOT BEING MADE!!!!!!
I just saw on my Author updates, and Libba had posted on her blog saying that THE MOVIE IS NOT GOING TO BE MADE!That makes me mad. Only because they have been making the movie for 3 years and they decided not to do it! I mean it's movie buisness and all but still...

That's upsetting. Though I think it's funny she got paid for doing nothing (I wished I got paid for doing nothing).

But, when it does come out, it'll be better than it might have been and maybe some other production company will pick up the project, you never know
I'm really disappointed too. As much as i LOVE the gemma doyle triology i can see why they ended up not making the movies. first of all the obvious production costs of making a fantasy movie in the victorian time period. second of all they wouldn't be able to attract many viewers to watch it. I bet no boys would want to watch it, so the target audience would just be teenage girls. And with the recession and eveything, it just wouldn't work out. Oh well too bad. I really hope that someone other studio will decide to do it. :(
Aana...I think Twilight would only many get female viewers too, but I suppose it's more popular and not a period piece, also it isn't as scandalous, so it makes sense.
ugh..... how can you all be fine with this?! lol its my favorite book! and its not a movie! :( im so sad! but atleast we still have the books!!!!! :)
I agree, I loved the books and would have loved it if they would make a movie out of it. But then again they may have ruined it if they tried to make it in to a movie, like so many other books.
So I just re-read a couple of Kartik/Gemma scenes the other day and I was trying to visualize them as a movie...they'd be a little cheesy.... It sucks, cuz when you read all of the book theyre not cheesy
I'm glad they're not making a movie of it, they would ruin it. LOL we could totally make a fan-video instead. It would be really crappy though lol.
Haha! But, so much fun to make! Its like I heard on the radio the other day. We would have so much fun making the movie...we'd forget to make the movie

Hi! I'm new. I was looking forward to it being a movie too. Then i thought they might ruin it because we all have an idea of what they want it to be like.
Yeah, I was thinking that too. The twilight movie completely ruined how I viewed the characters of the book and now its practically impossible to get the originals back in my mind. But, thats okay. It was just a phase
If they do ever make a movie, I AM trying out for Felicity...if they hold auditions, lol. She's my favorite character. :)

I actually liked the movie of Twilight, in a way I thought it was better than the book. But then, I didn't actually really like the book, and I really love Kristen Stewart, so maybe I'm a little biased...lol.
Yeah. The movie was okay, I liked the actors cuz I saw the preview before reading... But I know a lit of ppl thought it was terrible, n they might do that to TGDT.Heh. There's a guy at my schoo that looks exactly like Edward Cullen. He's beautiful.

THAT'S WHAT I THINK! Hahaha. It was funny, me and my friend usually see him walking to English, but we didn't one day, so I was like, "Maybe he's hungry. He's probably hunting." and then we turned a corner and he was right there. I'm like, "Uh... Nevermind."
Hey, I just joined! You guys got me all excited when I saw the posts about a movie being made, because these were some of those books I always imagined making amazing movies! But now I'm disappointed again.... oh well, maybe in the future?Haha, just read the above comment. Hilarious. :)
