1377990 Hello Everyone,

Starting August 1st we will be starting a Count Down Reading Challenge. The goal will be to read 20 books in two months.

You can either make a post here of each book as you read them,or you can create the list and then check them off as you go.

You can join at anytime, but the challenge will end 10/01/09.

I hope you all have fun and use this challenge to help make some progress through those piles of books I know many of us have.

message 7: by Linda Grace (new)

1939651 Sweet!! I will get it ready. Do they have to be Young Adult books?

message 8: by Jenna (new)

1377990 Not for this challenge, this challenge is really just so you can get through some of the books you've been wanting to read. So any book will be fine.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I am certainly not a young adult--in fact, much older, I teach middle school students in Indiana, and need to know what moves them. I would love to join your group and be a part of discussions. Patty

1939651 Hey Patty! Welcome to the group! I am from California, but I think a lot of us from different places. A TBR, or to-be-read pile, is a pile of books you have been wanting to read, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I have about 8 books I own that I haven't read yet, so these will be the books I read plus some for this challenge. Let us know if you have any other questions! Welcome again!

message 16: by Jenna (new)

1377990 Awesome List Linda!

message 17: by Linda Grace (new)

1939651 Thanks! Is it okay if I change a few books as I go, if I can't get the books in time?

I'm not sure past there.

I know a lot of you are going to look at these and say.. wait these aren't out yet! But I have a ton of Advanced Reader Copies from the ALA conference. I need to read them. :)
