Have you read Behind the Scenes at the Museum (Kate Atkinson)? I loved it and was wondering if One Good Turn was as good?
Thanks!
Melissa
One Good Turn was pretty good -- I read Case Histories first, and I *really* liked that one. I would say I didn't like One Good Turn as much as Case Histories, though.

Good to know! I'll start with Case Histories first.
Thanks for your help!
I guess when I continue to update my original post with the books I've read, it doesn't push my post to the top. So I'll start with separate entries now:18.
The Shotgun Rule A Novel (I love Charlie Huston books, but this one was probably my least favorite so far.)
19.
The Devil's Gentleman Privilege, Poison, and the Trial That Ushered in the Twentieth Centurya good account about a famous turn-of-the-century trial that I didn't know much about.)
20.
A Pale Horse An Inspector Ian Rutledge Mystery(It started out great, but got so muddled down in the middle that I just didn't care who killed who)
21.
The Indian Bride(a decent mystery, but so many unanswered questions at the end. Not very satisfying)
22.
The Tenderness of Wolves A Novel (a great mystery, set in Canada in 1867 - I really liked it, although I felt cold the whole time)
23.
Half the Blood of Brooklyn (I love the Joe Pitt vampire books - fast-paced, good characters, great action)
26.
Black Order (as always, a good thriller from Rollins - lots of action, intriguing characters, with a lot of science thrown in)
30.
The Terror(What a fantastic book! Long, but very good. A perfect combination of historical novel and supernatural thriller)
31.
The Telephone Gambit Chasing Alexander Graham Bell's Secret (a pretty good historical read about how the telephone was *really* invented)
33.
Why the Devil Chose New England for His Work Stories(I'm not a big fan of short stories, but I like when they are connected - the connections in this collection are not quite strong enough for me)
35.
The Girl Who Played with Fire (Good thriller/mystery set in Sweden - I guess I'm reading a lot of Northern European mysteries lately)
37.
The Ministry of Special Cases (a decently good book about "los desaparecidos" during Argentina's Dirty War)
