1132702 Not sure if this will help, at all, but here goes. How about biographies of current people who use welding in their day to day (OCC, hot rod building, motorcycles, trains, bridges, skyscrapers, construction, etc.). The idea came to me after I read your post. My hubby is a mechanic/with a welding background and he enjoys lots of those shows on TLC & Discovery channel. I know they write books for teens about those guys, I've seen them-just can't remember where. This would provide background information into why welding is important. Try doing a search using a literature database-a library, Internationla Reading Association's website, etc. Hope it's helpful!

2518506 I will teach Welding shop to Highschool students . I am considering adding more Informational young adult literature to my curriculum. Does anyone have book suggestions for a progressive highschoolclassroom? I am especially interested in books with quality information.
