I'm reading The Virigns lover by Philippa Gregory and Undead and Unwed by Mary Janice Davidson.

I just finished "On Thin Ice" (book 6 in Cherry Adair's T-Flac series); it's romantic suspense an I enjoyed it! A lot.

Decided to take a short break in the t-flac reading and started "Dawn's Awakening" by Lora Leigh this morning. So far, so good. ;-)

It's been awhile since I updated this, I've read other books and now I'm reading book #7 in Cherry Adair's T-FLAC series.

Wanted to let people know the Morning Coffee Club Group is getting ready to read "The Time Traveler's Wife" as a group. It's not too late to sign up and participate, if you choose.

Ooh, I'll have to get in on that-- I just finished that book last week. It was wonderful.

I'm struggling with The Time Traveler's Wife. It is confusing and hard to follow the author's train of thoughts.

Ugh.

I gave up on The Time Traveler's Wife. Just didn't care for it. Been reading a variety of romantic suspense books, but sure would like to find another time travel book to read. Anyone know of a new one that is very good?

Well, Outlander is a good series of romantic time travel, though it doesn't seem to start that way. Currently though, I'm reading Eagle Strike, which is the... 4th?... Alex Rider book, and it's pretty good. And I'm also in the middle of Drums of Autumn, which is the 4th in the Outlander series.

I'm currently reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander.

I'm reading book #3 in Nora Roberts Time-Travel (Circle Trilogy) "Valley of Silence."

Wonderful series! Nicely written, vampires (good and bad), shape-shifters, witches, sorcerers (good and bad), dragons...should be read in order...

1. Morrigan's Cross (this explains a lot)
2. Dance of the Gods
3. Valley of Silence

I enjoyed Outlander, too.

I'm waiting for booksfree.com to send me the rest of Janet Chapman's Highlander Series, I've read the first 4 (I think).

Aaand, even though Moning's Fever series isn't time-travel related, I'd like to quickly re-read Darkfever and Bloodfever within the next couple weeks in anticipation of the release of Faefever this September, which I am beyond excited for! I'm a complete KMM fangirl and have no qualms whatsoever about re-reading practically everything she's ever written. :P

well - to tell you the truth, i finished outlander just 2 days ago (loved it!) and it was really my first time travel experience of that magnitude. i plan to continue that whole series, but ist, i'm fitting in some short mysteries - a series by will thomas. the first is called some danger involved. i'm reading the 2nd one now - to kingdom come. they are set in the late 1800's and are very enjoyable - short, good characters and a little dry humor thown in here and there. can anyone recommendanother really good time travel series - not necessarily romance ( not so much my thing) and not vampires ( haven't gotten into those yet...i said yet, so i hope i don't offend any vampire lovers!)

I just finished Lynn Kurland's "With Every Breath" and enjoyed it a lot. It's a modern to 14th century time travel, part of the McLeod series.

I just received Janet Chapman’s “Only with a Highlander” and “Secrets of the Highlander” from booksfree.com and will be starting them soon (#5 and #6 in the series respectively). I feel like that series started out strong but has fizzled out a bit. The last one I read was just okay, but unless I absolutely hated the first book, I can’t NOT finish a series once I’ve started it.

Me too. Me too. I really enjoyed the series, initially, but felt it declined. I was very disappointed in the last one.

But, like you, I feel I need to continue the series because I started it.

I'm going to try the next one, but it may be my last.

We'll see.

So far I'm LOVING "Only with a Highlander." I finished the first half last night and had a hard time putting it down to go to bed. I'm very curious to figure out who/what Matt Gregor is!

I think I've read every conceivable romantic time travel out there. Seriously! My all time favorite being Outlander. I'm a total time travel nut. I recently read a time travel that wasn't a romance that I found very interesting called Replay. It's got a great time travel twist in it.

People seem to go one of two ways: a) loved it b) hated it. I was the latter...sorry to say.

I loved Outlander (the first three in the series were hard to put down). ;-)

Kathrynn - I'm with you I really didn't like The Time Traveler's Wife. It just didn't ring with me. The nature of his time travel didn't work for me, and the ending left me cold. Gosh, didn't mean to be so critical. But really - you should try Replay. Tell me what you think.

So, I'm reading one time-travel/romance, but I AM reading: Kite Runner, which is really good; God is Dead, which is a can't-put-it-down; Seekers, which is kind of slow, but still good; and Outland #4... Drums of Autumn I think it is, which is SUPER good!!!

Hi, I loved Gibaldon's Outlander series. Drums of Autumn was the last one I finished. Been a highlander junkie ever since. Although not just time travelers.

Any suggestions for more time traveling Scots series? I just started reading Virginia Farmer's " A Blast into the Past" So far it's intriging, about Brian, an American Navy bomb expert, on training in Scotland. He gets blasted back into 1301. Not a series but it's fun so far! I was bummed that I didn't "enjoy" The Time Traveler's wife. I wanted to. Never really connected with the character's, the ending was a relief, frankly I liked the cover art better than the contents. yikes!

I haven't read a time-travel in a long time and hope to read one soon. I've had too many other books bumping to be read in my TBR pile.

Hi I'm new. I'm in the middle of the Outlander Series, but I love Highlander Books as well. Have you read any of Hanna Howell's books? They are fast reads and kind of fun. I've read most of them and enjoyed getting lost in love with a Highland Hunk.

I started re-reading Diana Gabaldon's Dragonfly in Amber today. It's been over a decade since I last read it, so I don't remember much of it except the heart-wrenching ending. I hope I haven't forgotten too much of Outlander, since it's been over a year since I re-read it.

I'm reading "Temptation Ridge" by Robyn Carr right now. Almost finished. What a wonderful continuation of the Virgin River series. Wonderful. Looking forward to the next one (April 09).

I'm on #4, Drums in Autumn, in the Outlander series. I only have 130 more pages to go and love it.

An author that writes time travel that I love is Connie Willis and the books Doomsday Book and To Say Nothing of the Dog. Doomsday is one of my favorite books of all. Anyone else reading or read these two?

I ordered Lynn Kurland's latest in the McLeod series that tells Zackery's story. She has a series about the McLeods which begins with A Dance Through Time and another series (some of the books aren't time travel) involving the Piagets, who are in Northern England. Both series are entertaining reads.

I have read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series and I'm waiting for the final book in that series, if there is one. She takes forever to write one of her Jamie and Clare books.

I ordered that one also. Can't wait to read it. I love Lynn Kurland!

I know I have on my page that I am reading "Showdown" by Ted Dekker, but somehow I picked up another book and started reading it...Actually, I got this one at my local $1 store and didn't think it would be good...but it is! Anyone ever read Dara Joy? I am reading her book called "High Energy". It is a very fun read so far!

I've read her book, Tonight or Never and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to trying more of her work. I have High Energy & High Intensity as well as a couple of her Matrix trilogy books on my TBR shelf.

What is the Matrix trilogy?? Is is some kinda SciFi?? Or Time-Travel??

The Matrix trilogy is:

As I understand it they have some futuristic sci-fi elements with heroes who are part of an alien race of shape-shifters. I think the second book actually takes place in the Regency era. They may include some time travel, not sure about that though, and they're are supposed to be quite humorous.

Started "A Knight in Shining Armor" by Jude Deveraux. Hero from 1534 travels forward to 1988--England--and meets distraught heroine crying in a church. I've never read anything by this author before. So far, so good. :-)

I'm still reading Leigh Barbour's "Dreams of Chimborazo". It's set in Richmond - modern day and the end of the Civil War. I'm enjoying it. Wish I could read more, but I'm so busy lately.

I also hear Leigh Barbour has another time travel coming out. It has something to do with pirates. I'll pick that one up too.

It's disappointing so many people don't care for the Time Traveler's Wife. Hopefully it will make a better movie than it did a book.

Hi Kathrynn! I read that book years ago & absolutely loved it! It really got me going with Jude Deveraux! She has quite a few series style books that I've enjoyed over the years:-)

Today I finished Dark Lover about time traveling warriors who fight demons. I think this is book five of the series and IMO the best yet.
