669573 I'm reading "Hide and Seek" by Cherry Adair right now.

I have a couple of nonfiction books that I'm reading as well..."A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle

"Teen Psychic: Exploring your Intuitive Spirtual Powers" by Julia Johnson
- my daughter had this so, I had to read it too. ;-) I'm reading alittle bit of it between other books...

Right now she is reading "Math Doesn't Suck: How to Survive Middleshool Math without Loosing your Mind or Breaking a Nail" :-) and I plan on getting my hands on that when she is finished. Looks neat!

669573 I'm on book #5 of the T-FLAC series now: "Out of Sight."

Was A.J. the female operative that was injured in "White Heat?" I can't remember.

message 3: by Auntee (new)

886675 You got me there Kathrynn, I can barely remember my own name this morning...LOL! It's been awhile since I read "White Heat"--now you've got me curious! All I can remember about A.J. and "Out of Sight" for that matter is that A.J. is "model" beautiful, it takes place mostly in the desert, and of course, the "camel" scene... ;D

message 4: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 er...camel scene. Haven't got there yet. ;-)

Thank you. Great picture of a pile of books, by the way.

message 5: by Blarneygod (new)

130231 I am reading Edge of Fear by Cherry Adair.. also in the TFLAC series. I enjoyed Hide In Seek and Out of Sight, but I never read White Heat.

message 6: by Kathrynn (last edited Mar 01, 2008 05:06PM) (new)

669573 Are you reading the T-FLAC series in order? Auntee posted the order on the group, if you need it. I think "Edge of Fear" is book #8.

I liked "White Heat" (book #11) and it was the first in the series that I read. I've since read TFLAC 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Book #4, "In Too Deep" was really good. If you read "White Heat," would you tell us if AJ is in that book as a side character?

I picked up "Predatory Game" (book #6 in the Ghostwalker series) by Christine Feehan today and I'm going to read it next. It came out today! I've enjoyed that series by her.

I've been looking for the next Immortal's Afterdark by Kresley Cole which was suppose to come out February 2008 in an anthology entitled "Not that Innocent." So far no luck finding it, though.

message 7: by Auntee (new)

886675 Hey Kathrynn, you were right. That WAS A.J. from "Out of Sight" who got injured in "White Heat"(page 200). I can't believe how much I forgot from that book--I was scanning it looking for A.J. and I started reading it again(like I don't have enough to read)!

message 8: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Hey Auntee, thank you for looking that up. I was too lazy to do it myself...:-)

message 9: by cheri (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Hi, I'm new. I just finished Cut Throat by Sharon Sala. It was good. Does anyone remember the name of the first book with Cat and Wilson?

message 10: by Crystal (new)

940491 The first book with Cat and Wilson was Nine Lives.

message 11: by cheri (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Crystal, thanks for answering. My daughter read the back of Cut Throat and asked if she could read it. I told her I'd look for the first one.

message 12: by Pamela (new)

884792 I have both Nine Lives and Cut Throat... are they good? I'm currently reading Hot Night by Shannon McKenna, only in Chapter one but I expect it to be good.

message 13: by Crystal (new)

940491 @cheri... it really is a good idea to read them back-to-back.

message 14: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 I'm reading Pursuit by Elizabeth Jennings and it is really good. Modern-Romantic Suspense.

Thanks Auntee. I found it at my local Wal-Mart, too. It's supposed to be "out" April 2008.

message 15: by Auntee (new)

886675 I just love it when they 'come out' early, Kathrynn! I try to go to WalMart every Wednesday--yesterday I found Marliss Melton's latest which wasn't due out till April 1st! Can't wait to start it! Glad you're enjoying 'Pursuit'. I really loved that one! :D

message 16: by Christel (new)

655568 Well iread "Trilby" by Diana Palmer last night. Today the Big Brown Truck came to my house so I will be reading "Lover Unbound". But I cannot buy anymore books till May. I promised Hubby that I would hold off and he let me adopt a new fur baby today. I was able to adopt a full blooded Russian Bluenose today at Petco. We have named a new "baby" Smoke in honor of my favorite NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. So I am on a diet right now but I think I have plenty to-read right now but I do have all you ladies to keep me up to date.

message 17: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Auntee,

I got a box of books in the mail today and it included Marliss Melton's latest, "Don't Let Go." Got "Black Ice" and a few others, but one was backordered until March 31st. huh?

Chrstel,

Enjoy Smoke. Is he a puppy?

message 18: by Eastofoz (new)

939365 Has anyone here read Roxanne St Claire's Bullet Catcher series? If you who would you compare it too? They sound really good.

message 19: by Christel (new)

655568 Nope Smoke is a cat!! Hubby loves dogs, I am a cat person. Hmmmm I wonder if I am one of Lora Leigh's breeds???

message 20: by Auntee (new)

886675 Hey Eastofoz,

I've read Roxanne St.Claire's Bullet Catcher series--they're pretty good! I would compare it to maybe Cindy Gerard's Bodyguard series (have you read hers?).
I still have a couple of the Bullet Catchers on my TBR mountain so I'm not totally up-to-date on the series but I do remember enjoying them very much! :D

message 21: by Auntee (new)

886675 Oh boy, I wish I was reading "Lover Unbound" again! Loved "V" !

message 22: by Eastofoz (new)

939365 Hi Auntee
I have Gerard's first book on my TBR pile and I've ordered St Claire's 1st Bullet Catcher book. They both sound really good!

message 23: by Crystal (new)

940491 I'm about half-way through I'm Watching You by Mary Burton. I can't put it down!

message 24: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Crystal, I just read the synopsis on I'm Watching You. It looks good. Looking forward to your review!

message 25: by Crystal (new)

940491 It's a great mystery. It's one of those mysteries where there are 4 or so people that could be the killer. You think you have it figured out as to who the killer is then the plot takes a turn and puts the focus on someone else.

message 26: by Christel (new)

655568 I am on Book #3 of the Lara Adrian series, Midnight Awakening. I really enjoyed the first 2 so I am hoping the next 2 are just as good

message 27: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 Crystal--sounds like a book I would enjoy!

Christel--I've read Book #2 in Lara Adrian's series and enjoyed it. The vet and the vampire. LOL I just got Book #1 in the mail and have #3 and #4 (recently acquired at my local Wal-Mart) on my TBR bookcase. LOL

I'm starting Book #2 "Cold as Ice" in Anne Stuart's Ice Series. So far, so good....

Also starting "The Time Traveler's Wife" and reading --as a group--in the Morning Coffee Club Group. Of course, I'll have it finished sooner than the 3 weeks set aside to allow others to have time to finish...:-)

message 28: by Christel (new)

655568 Yep Dante and Tess was a really good story. Ya gotta read the rest inorder though because one book leads into the other. I finished #3 this morning and I am halfway through #4 now. I am really enjoying this series. Sorta like BDB but they all have special powers and the Breedmates have certain special powers too. But I cannot wait till the next one comes out, That will be Nickolai's story the next one

message 29: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 When I picked up Book #2, I didn't know it was part of a series. Then I got a hold of #3 and #4 (just came out) and had to order #1 because it was just no where I looked. Go figure. Now that I have them all, I'm going to start with #1 and move on.

It did seem similar to the Black Dagger books, but no Omega guys.

How's that kitty doing?

message 30: by Christel (new)

655568 Smoke is doing fine being a little turkey

message 31: by Auntee (new)

886675 I'm reading Suzanne Brockmann's latest (reprint) "Freedom's Price". It's a follow up to a pretty good book, "Forbidden".
I think this is going to be a pretty easy read; her books are pretty easy for me to stick with--she's such a good writer!

message 32: by Christel (new)

655568 Okay I finished #4 tonight of the Lara Adrian series. But I have got to take a break from the Vampire romances. Iam starting to think like one!!! Time for some Cowboy business for me. Probably till this weekend when I get all of my Sherrilyn Kenyon books here. Can't wait till I can read " The Dark-Hunter Comapnion"

message 33: by Lindsay (new)

833715 Just read Freedom's Price a few days ago, then started on Prince Joe. Not bad, but very quick reads!

message 34: by Pamela (new)

884792 just finished Anne Stuart's Cold As Ice and getting ready to read the next one Ice Blue.

message 35: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 I just started Anne Stuart's Cold as Ice! I'm at the part where she just woke up duct taped in the cabin.

message 36: by Marnie (new)

872951 I love Prince Joe. The one by Suzanne Brockmann? This is the one that got me hooked on Brockmann. There were several moments were I just kept on laughing.

message 37: by Auntee (new)

886675 I'm reading "Unlawful Contact" by Pamela Clare. I'm only 90 pages in, and it is fantastic! I hope it remains that way! :) I've never read anything by Pamela Clare before, but I do have 2 others by her in my TBR pile. I love her writing style! Has anyone read anything by Pamela Clare?

message 38: by Pamela (new)

884792 Auntee, I read the one before Unlawful Contact. it's called Hard Evidence and just got the 1st of the series Extreme Exposure and will start it tonight. I'm reading them backyards but so far I've loved them.

message 39: by Kathrynn (new)

669573 I haven't read anything by Pamela Clare (that I'm aware of), but sounds good.

I'm reading "Kiss of Midnight" Book #1 in the Breed Series by Lara Adrian. I picked up book #2 and read it a year ago and while waiting for book #3 to come out I found out there was a book #1 that I missed. So, got it. :-)

Christel has been reading them and from her reviews I decided to get back to this wonderful series.

If you like J.R. Ward's Black Dagger books I think you will like this series as well. They have similarities, but enough differences to be on their own.

In the forward, she thanks Jessica Bird for her inspiration. So, I'm thinking J.R. Ward had no qualms with a bit of similarities here.

message 40: by Auntee (new)

886675 Pamela,
I have both "Hard Evidence" and "Extreme Exposure". I'm wondering if I should have started with them first but so far I'm having no trouble following things. I suspected this was part of a series when she started naming all these other characters! I plan on going back to those books next...I'll be reading them backwards too, something I usually hate to do, but I couldn't help myself--this one looked too good for me to wait! :)

Kathrynn, I think you would like her--she reminds me a little of Karen Rose (minus the gruesome stuff--so far!)
I also have 3 of the Lara Adrian books--I've been meaning to read those ever since I finished BDB, but unfortunately, they got buried in the pile! Let us know what you think--maybe I'll dig them out and finally read them! :)

message 41: by Eastofoz (last edited Apr 04, 2008 07:58PM) (new)

939365 Thanks Auntee. No I haven't read Gerard's Bodyguard series but it's on the mountain of books to get to :)

I'm reading Anne Stuart's NIGHTFALL and it's a bit weird. Anyone read it? I'll post back about it when I'm done.

message 42: by Pamela (new)

884792 Auntee, as I said before I read the Pamela Clare books backwards and I had no problem understanding the stories. There may be a reference ocassionally of the prior books but nothing that would ruin the story for you.

message 43: by Auntee (new)

886675 Pamela, I think you're going to like "Unlawful Contact" too. This book is so intense--I'm really nervous, I want the H/H to have their HEA so bad! lol!
There's been a few tidbits about characters in previous books--mainly about Tess and Julian (looks like I'm going to enjoy their story!), but your right, I don't think it will ruin it for me! :)

message 44: by Eastofoz (new)

939365 I read Pamela Clare's CARNAL GIFT and didn't like it at all. Has anyone read it? I'm assuming these newer books of hers are better (?)

message 45: by Auntee (new)

886675 "Carnal Gift"--would that be a historical? Although with that title it sounds like an erotica! lol!
The one I'm reading (or should be finishing) is a romantic suspense--and very good--unless she does something in the next 100 pages to screw it up! :D

message 46: by Stamatia (new)

1012423 I just got a Suzanne Brockmann book with two stories in it Prince Joe and Forever Blue. After reading all those raving reviews about her and since I have this thing about reading series in order if at all possible I though I'd start at the beginning.
Just finished Linda Howard's MacKenzie's Mountain and even though I found it to be a bit dated I can say it was a good read

message 47: by Eastofoz (new)

939365 Auntee: yup "Carnal Gift" is historical. I bought it for the title and what looked like a good back blurb--but the writing was blah and the story boring. Maybe I'll have to try her again.

message 48: by Auntee (new)

886675 Eastofoz--Definitely give her romantic suspense ones a try if you come across them--I'm really enjoying them and learning a few facts too! (Mainly about the newspaper business and investigative reporting)

Stamatia--I love Suzanne Brockmann's Navy SEALs series! She has 2 different ones going: the one you have that starts with "Prince Joe" (these are the shorter stories); the other series starts with "The Unsung Hero" (longer, more detailed stories)

Love Linda Howard's MacKenzie series too! Some great reads there!

message 49: by Stamatia (new)

1012423 Thanks Auntee I have The Unsung Hero in my TBR pile or should I say heap? it keeps getting higher. Right next to my pillow instead of a nightstand is my DH desk (he's a Math teacher) and I have appropriated a corner of it for my books. He's threatened me with divorce because my books are trying to ostracize his from the desk *snicker*
Anyway thanks for the pointers

message 50: by Auntee (new)

886675 I'm in the middle of Pamela Clare's 2nd book of her I-team series, "Hard Evidence". I'm LOVING this book--even more than the other 2 (if possible)! The H/H in this one have a more complicated backstory then the other two books, and Julian is a darker hero (a little bit of a bad boy)--makes it much more interesting! :D
